Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Pokémon CaC Contest: Constant Expansions - Second Round Begins! Cards due June 21!!!

Are we supposed to have flavour text?

If so, can I go back and add some to my card?

(I'm fairly new at this and have no idea on what to add)

So, my first CAC contest entry...
I want to make it memorable so I have chosen a highly unlikely pokemon, never to be considered any good, wich I have always really liked...

Yup..it`s Slowpoke!!

Slowpoke Lv. 12 -60-HP [W]
Basic Pokémon

Picture: We see a Slowpoke on the river side bank from beneath the surface of the water. Slowpoke`s image is slightly blurred and fractured by the rimples on the surface. It`s tail is dangling in the water and a Shellder is looking inquisitive at it from the bottom of the river.

[Poké-Body] Slow Reaction
Apply all effects of attacks on Slowpoke 1 turn after the attack.

[.] Lure
Search your deck for a Pokémon, (excluding Pokémon LV. X)show it to your opponent and put it into your hand.

[C] Relaxing Thought
If Slowpoke is Knocked Out during your opponents next turn, you may flip a coin. If heads the defending Pokémon is now Knocked Out. If tails the defending Pokémon is now Asleep.

Flavor Text: SLOWPOKE has almost unlimited patience when fishing. It is sometimes found with its tail hanging in dried up river beds.

Weakness: [L] +10
Resistance: None
Retreat Cost: [C][C]

Explanation:
First things first, it is really difficult to make a good Slowpoke card! But that was exactly my goal when creating this card. The Poké-Body basically wins you a turn. In that turn you can use the Lure attack to get set up.Then, if Slowpoke is close to being Knocked Out you can just sit back and relax thanks to the Relaxing Thought attack.

It may not seem like much, and it certainly doesn`t breaks the format:tongue:. But it is a very good tech for any deck..... and all that by a Slowpoke:biggrin:

O, just saw the new rule.... :(
...guess I`ll start making a new card than...
Please ignore this post for the contest...

Can`t I just think of a anti-evolution rule for this Slowpoke? I really like the card....

^It must be a final evolution. Change it to Slowking or Slowbro and make it more powerful.

You are allowed to edit.

I can`t just change it to a higher evolution....the card got Slowpoke written all over it...

I guess i just have to pick another pokemon......

Enter Card

I'd love to enter! Here's my card:

Dragonite Lv. 59 -130HP- [C]
Stage 2 Pokémon
Evolves from Dragonair

Picture: Dragonite is flying over a ship that is slowly sinking. On its back are several people being rescued. The background is stormy weather and lightning.

[Poké-Body] Innocence

Reduce damage done by Dragonite to your opponent's Basic Pokémon by 20 (before applying weakness and resistance).

[C][C][C] Hyper Slam 30x
Flip 4 coins. This attack does 30 damage times the number of heads. If you get 3 or more heads, the Defending Pokémon cannot retreat during your opponent's next turn.

[C][C][C] Dragon Beam 50
If the Defending Pokémon is Knocked Out by this attack, place 1 damage counter on each of your opponent's Evolved Pokémon.

Flavor Text: Due to their intelligence, DRAGONITE can be trained to save people from drowning.

Weakness: [C] + 30
Resistance: [R] - 20
Retreat Cost: [C][C]

So here`s the card that DOES enter the contest.....
(I`m not so thrilled about it as the Slowpoke card but hopefully it will do...)

Smeargle LV. 36 -70-HP [C]
Basic Pokémon

Picture: We see a Smeargle, holding his tail, from close-up. He is surrounded by paint of all the colours of the rainbow. The paint is splashing up and filling almost the entire illustration. If you look closely, you can see parts of famous paintings on the background in between the paint and Smeargle, including the Mona Lisa and Le fils de l'homme.

[Poké-Power ] Paint Over
Once during your turn (before your attack), you may choose 1 of your Active Pokémon and 1 basic Energy card attached to Smeargle. Then, change that Pokémon`s type in to the type of that basic Energy card until the end of your turn.

[C][C] Paint Fight 30x
Flip a coin for each different type of basic Energy card attached to Smeargle. This attack does 30 damage times the number of heads.

Flavor Text: Legend has it that these Pokémon invented paint-ball.

Weakness: [F] +20
Resistance: None
Retreat Cost: [C]

Weezing Lv. 38 90 HP [P]
Stage 1 Pokémon
[Evolves from Koffing]

Picture: Weezing is at a toxic waste dump, almost exploding. It is rushing at the "camera". You can see Koffing and Grimer around him.

PokeBody: Memento
If Weezing is damaged by an opponent's attack (even if Weezing is Knocked Out), until the end of your opponent's next turn, the base damage of all of the Defending Pokémon's attacks is 10. This has no effect if the attack has no base damage.
[P][P][C] Explosion 120
Weezing does 140 damage to itself.

Weezing's appearance is that of two Koffing stuck together in a molecular compound-like formation

Weakness: [P]x2
Resistance:
Retreat Cost: [C][C][C]

There is a link error; Darkrai was not post 29, but it shows up that way upon clicking the link. I don't know how to fix this.

I may not have time to continue with this contest, but here goes:

Lucario Lv.63 80HP [F]

Basic Pokémon

PokéItem: Rivet Bracers
As long as there are any [M] Energy cards attached to Lucario you may treat it as a [M] Pokémon in addition to any other types.

[F][C] Blowback Knuckles 20+
Your opponent selects 1 Benched Pokémon and switches it with the Defending Pokémon. (after doing damage) Then, do 20 damage to the new Defending Pokémon. If your opponent has no Benched Pokémon then this attack does 20 more damage.
_____________________________
Weakness:[P]-20
Resistance:
Retreat Cost:[C]

Flavor Text: This Pokémon is known to train both high in the mountains and in dark city streets, learning to fight under any conditions.

EM, you have been added.

NidoPrince, this is weird. All of the links show the correct post number, but they go to Darkrai...

The link is correct, but the pages are incorrect.

It may be that the site hasn't updated it's cache yet and doesn't recognize posts that old. Seems weird, but OK.

As it is, YAY A CONTEST RUN BY A GOOD CaC-ER!!!! I think I know where this contest is headed, so I'm gonna shoot for a familiar design and concept for me. Look out world, here's K-mu!
------------------------

Muk Lv. 61 (P)
100 HP
Stage 1 Pokémon (Evolves from Grimer)

PIC: Muk is seen throwing Purple sludge at a trainer as he runs away in a darkened, open meadow. His Torchic, Budew, and Minun are in tail, all with horrified looks on their faces and all covered in the same purple sludge. Their are only identifiable by their silhouettes.

PokéPOWER: Stuck on You

Once during your turn (before you attack) you may discard 1 (P) Energy attached to Muk. If you do, you may place a Sludge counter on one of you opponent's Pokémon. Pokémon with a Sludge counter on it pays (*) more to retreat for each Sludge counter on it. You can't use this Power if Muk is affected by a Special Condition.

(P): Pull (10)

The Defending Pokémon is now Poisoned. Before doing damage, you may choose one of your opponent's Benched Pokémon with a Sludge counter on it and switch it with the Defending Pokémon.

(PP): Sludge Bomb (50)

This attack does 30 damage to each Pokémon that has any Sludge counter on it. Then, remove all Sludge Counters from all Pokémon.

Weakness: (P) +30
Resistance:
Retreat: (**)

FLAVOR: <Mmm, mmm, goo-ed.> - Traditional Pokémon saying for wild encounters with Muks and Grimers.
