Here's a card reprint for e-Reader purposes:

Magnet Mice
Trainer card

Search your deck for two Basic Pokémon cards, one with Plusle in its name, the other with Minun in its name. Place both cards on your Bench. (You can't play Magnet Mice if your Bench is full or if placing one card would make your Bench full.) You can't play another Trainer card named Magnet Mice until the end of your opponent's next turn.

In addition to the data that lets you catch the species, the Plusle and Minun cards in the set, as well as the Magnet Mice Trainer card (either this version or the Knockaround Girls version), allow you to play a game. The game is called "Magnet Maze". To play, first scan Magnet Mice, then either a Plusle or Minun card, then its matching counterpart (if you scanned Lt. Surge's Plusle, Lt. Surge's Minun is the next to be scanned; non-matching pairs are not compatible (i.e. Wattson's Plusle w/Electra's Minun)). You play as either Plusle or Minun (depending on what you scanned right after Magnet Mice) grabbing ions. The goal is to collect all the opposite-charge ions before your opponent (the last card scanned) does. Red ions are positive and what Minun seeks; the blue ions are negative and what Plusle seeks. The game controls: Control Pad moves Plusle/Minun, A jumps, B grabs an ion, and R throws a same-charge ion towards your opponent (does not count toward final total). If you grab a same-charge ion, you lose all the ions you collected. Not to mention that this game is timed.

Lt. Surge's level is a very easy level. Only one opposite-charge ion stands on a player's side of the field. The time limit is 3 minutes.

Wattson's level is a bit tougher. There are "neutural ions" (gray) that cannot be grabbed, and these block a player's way. Jumping ions is a must in this level, and you have 4 minutes.

Blaine's level is the toughest by far, even tougher than Electra's. There's a Pikachu grabbing ions of both charges around the south side of the level, and a Manectric on the north side throwing ions of the opposite charge towards each player at a rate of 15 ion pairs per minute (these do count toward the final total in a multiplayer game), or one ion pair every 4 seconds (pressing L in this level attacks both with an electric jolt and freezes them for three seconds, causing Pikachu to drop the ions it has collected and also causing Manectric to miss one ion launch). It's even tough with this level's five-minute time limit.

This minigame supports both one- and two-player play, meaning that you can do head-to-head competition. All both players need are the same cards (and a GBA link cable), and one player scans Plusle and Minun in the other order. In this case, one player plays as Plusle, the other as Minun, and there's no timer (Pikachu and Manectric still appear on Blaine's level, though). The winner is the one who collects all the opposite-charge ions first.

Scanning any Pokémon into an e-Reader while connected to Ruby/Sapphire will allow you to catch the species in Mystery Events. Each scanned Pokémon is L5, and each knows a special move it can't normally learn (in addition to its basic moves). Each dot code can be scanned only once per day, but you can scan multiple different codes to catch different Pokémon. I've edited my posts to include what Pokémon and move is yielded for each card.

Scanning all 12 Energy cards together into an e-Reader connected to Pokémon Ruby, or Pokémon Sapphire, then going to Mystery Events, yields a message that says "Your surprise is waiting for you after the ELITE FOUR."

So, go and beat the Elite Four. After you beat the last one (Drake), the next trainer you'll face isn't Steven. Instead, it's...Roxanne! That's right, the surprise is that you'll face all of the gym leaders from Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire once again! And they're tougher this time around! Here is their complete lineup:

Roxanne: L45 Golem, L46 Nosepass, L43 Relicanth
Brawly: L46 Machamp, L47 Hariyama, L44 Heracross
Wattson: L47 Electrode, L48 Magneton, L45 Electabuzz
Flannery: L48 Magcargo, L49 Torkoal, L46 Charizard
Norman: L49 Clefable, L50 Slaking, L47 Linoone
Winona: L49 Pelipper, L50 Swellow, L50 Skarmory, L51 Altaria, L48 Pidgeot, L48 Noctowl
Tate & Liza: L51 Solrock, L51 Lunatone, L49 Slowbro, L49 Slowking
Wallace: L50 Walrein, L51 Seaking, L51 Whiscash, L52 Milotic, L50 Blastoise, L50 Politoed
Your party is healed prior to facing Roxanne, and again prior to facing Norman.

The battles are for experience and money. Roxanne gives you an amount that you would have gotten from Steven, and it only increases from there. If you do beat Steven, he'll give you much more than if you had challenged him without the gym leaders. Also, each of the gym leaders this time around gives you a rare Berry and a special TM the first time you defeat them in this rematch. Here's the list:

Roxanne: Liechi Berry & TMe1 (Rock Slide)
Brawly: Ganlon Berry & TMe2 (Hi Jump Kick)
Wattson: Salac Berry & TMe3 (Thunder Wave)
Flannery: Petaya Berry & TMe4 (Blaze Kick)
Norman: Apicot Berry & TMe5 (Double-Edge)
Winona: Starf Berry & TMe6 (Drill Peck)
Tate & Liza: Lansat Berry & TMe7 (Dream Eater)
Wallace: A random rare Berry (one the others gave you) & TMe8 (Hydro Pump)

Wallace gives you the random berry every time you beat him in the rematch, not just the first.

Also, the first time you face Steven AFTER beating the gym leaders in the rematch, Steven gives you a TMe9 (Outrage) (a few other cards can write this TM as a hold item). Steven's Pokémon after the rematch are 4 levels higher than if you had not faced the gym leaders again.

You can do this once per day, but you only get one berry from the first seven gym leaders and only 1 of each of the nine special TMs.

This also scans in the new e-Shop located in Littleroot Town. A new guy next to the rival's house will be selling e-Reader TMs for 10000 apiece, but you can only buy those you've gotten beforehand (i.e. beat Flannery but not Norman, you can't get TMe5), and you can't buy unless you've scanned in the challenge. Also, if you've obtained all 9 of those e-Reader TMs, TMe0 (Metal Claw) becomes available at the e-Shop and the e-Shop guy will give you the HMe (Odor Sleuth), which when used in the field, allows you to sneak by places undetected for the length of a Max Repel.

(The cards will not work in Emerald unless you make the Elite Four tougher through e-Reader data. Once that data's in, each of the gym leaders use their final rematch teams 20 levels higher than before, with Wallace using his team 15 levels higher than his already-tougher team. The berries and TMs are in the same positions they were in Ruby/Sapphire, Juan giving the random berry and TMe8 and Wallace giving the TMe9 in Emerald.)

The e-Reader data for the Trainer's Trainer cards:

Each Trainer's cards count as a "triple". Scan a "triple" (such as Norman's Locked Door, Norman's Bundle, and Norman Cube 01) into the e-Reader while connected to Pokémon Ruby or Pokémon Sapphire to battle that Trainer (with a random 3 of their lineup below) in Mystery Events.

Or, you may choose to scan every single "triple" into the e-Reader. When you go to Mystery Events, you'll get a message that says, "Your surprise is waiting for you at the BATTLE TOWER."

So, go to the Battle Tower. When you talk to the receptionist, you'll get a special conversation. It goes like this:

"28 guys have set up here. They're looking for you."

Then the conversation branches depending on whether you picked the boy or the girl at the start of the game. The boy gets, "Can you keep up with the adrenaline of 28 guys?" The girl gets, "Can a girl beat 28 macho guys?"

The conversation then continues like normal. Here's the rest of it:

"Will you take the challenge?"

Then you're prompted yes or no. Say no and you'll get "I hope you'll be able to take the challenge sometime." Say yes and get the following:

"Each of the 28 trainers had 6 Pokémon. Just to be fair, you get to take 6 Pokémon into the challenge, with no level limits." (That means that you can take any Pokémon into this challenge, regardless of level, as long as they're six different kinds.)

Afterwards, you'll be checked for whether you're trying to take eggs in. If you have an egg, you'll get the usual "you can't take an egg in" message, and the conversation reverts to the no choice above. If you've got only Pokémon, you'll be let into the Battle Tower.

You'll face the Trainers in the order listed at the very start of the thread. Here's what Pokémon they have and the phrase they use at the start of the fight (and, if necessary, the prize for beating that trainer):

Scan all four cards into an e-Reader not connected to anything and you'll see an animation of the following: an Absol using Hydro Pump, a Makuhita using Leaf Blade, a Vulpix using Earthquake, and a Skitty using Dragonbreath.

Scanning a certain card into an e-Reader connected to Pokémon Ruby or Pokémon Sapphire will allow a certain existing Pokémon to learn a certain move. The Pokémon and move will be the same as in the animation. That is, bringing an Absol to Mystery Events will allow it to learn Hydro Pump (after scanning Darksea Gym); bringing a Makuhita to Mystery Events will allow it to learn Leaf Blade (after scanning Fistseed Gym); bringing a Vulpix to Mystery Events will allow it to learn Earthquake (after scanning Magmalanche Gym); and bringing a Skitty to Mystery Events will allow it to learn Dragonbreath (after scanning Draonburn Gym). You can only use each of the gyms once per day to teach moves.
