Pokémon TCG: Black & White—Plasma Blast is the latest expansion to the Pokémon Trading Card Game franchise and will be available in stores on August 14, 2013, bringing over 100 new cards to collect and play.

Key Features of the Pokémon TCG: Black & White — Plasma Blast Expansion:

Team Plasma cards—A unique blue border and Team Plasma shield adorn each Team Plasma card
Six new Pokémon-EX cards and five full-art Pokémon-EX rare Ultra cards—New, powerful Pokémon-EX include Genesect-EX, Kyurem-EX, Palkia-EX, and Dialga-EX
Four new ACE SPEC cards—Incredibly powerful Trainer cards. Only one ACE SPEC card is allowed in each player’s deck
Booster packs—Packs of 10 additional cards selected from the expansion will sell for $3.99
Theme decks—60-card pre-constructed decks are designed to introduce players to the Pokémon TCG by enabling them to play right away. Theme decks will sell for $11.99

All of these cards (save Froslass) are from Megalo Cannon (Froslass was a BW-P promo).

Didn't they have the sample pack for B&W? If it's similar, then it's probably just three random Commons from the set? Still, interesting that they brought that back...I wonder if Wal-Mart will stock that as well?

English 3-Card Sample Packs Existed since HGSS

HGSS 3-card sample packs were only released in Europe, only the undaunted was released in the US.

BW 3-card sample pack were both released in Europe and US since Black & White Base Set to Plasma Storm.

Plasma Freeze 3-card sample pack was only released in Europe. Not available in the US yet.
 
Interesting. Virizion EX does not specify basic grass, just any grass. Does that mean we can use its attack to attach the blend energy with grass?

EDIT: Nevermind, I forgot it was colorless unless attached.
 
We've got the sampling pack in checklane blisters, mini album packs, and the Official Pokémon Magazine.
 
So 101 cards... that means the entire Megalo Cannon Set + Blastoise/Kyurem Deck + Genesect Promo = 87 Cards (88 if you include new art Blastoise) not including Shiny Secret Rares. The Everyone's exciting battle cards do not fit in set obviously and with only 11 EX cards it is safe to assume Shiny Collection isn't in this set either... so the other 13 cards must be either Promos or new cards from EX Battle Boost? Or am I forgetting some release?

The TSS is where things get tricky because there isn't enough from Megalo Cannon to fill all of those spaces. There certainly aren't nine Trainers that could come after Iris -- even retaining the Japanese names, there's only Plume Fossil, Reversal Trigger, Root Fossil, Silver Bangle and Silver Mirror. Because there's something else between Chatot and Iris than Caitlin and Cover Fossil, maybe they'll take Fennel's Help and Professor Oak's Meeting from the Exciting Battles. Even then there's three more slots for Trainers between Iris and Plasma Energy.
 
so the original set was 86 including secret rares, and the kyurem/blastoise deck is 18 unique cards that puts us at 104 add the genesect/froslass 1 card is not getting put into this set from the deck is my guess.
 
The deck really only has seven unique cards, plus the Blastoise with new artwork. The rest of it is Trainers that have been printed in English already.

Set list speculation... There is one pokemon I just cannot place. Added Catcher, Max Potion since if we rotate to NXD on- then both will still be legal, but will only have been printed as secret rares in legal sets so they both could use a reprint. Bianca is in the same boat and there is Japanese alternate art card for her we haven't gotten yet. Super Scoop Up and Pokemon Communication are just two staple always legal trainers that were not printed in BCR so they could use a print now.

I dunno, have to wait and see I guess.

Mew and Genesect (Team Plasma) are likely Blister Promos for this set, as both should fit in the set technically, but neither do (confirmed card numbers show this). And should the Blastoise reprint not make the set (I would honestly guess it wouldn't, but you never know) the Promo Magikarp would easily fill its place.
