Are poke-bodies Shut off by Special Conditions?

Poke-Bodies are not shut off by Special Conditions. Most Poke-Powers are, but the rule of thumb is look look at the text of the card. If it is an older Pokemon Power or newer Poke-Power, it should state if it is shut off by Special Conditions. You should check carefully because there are a few that aren't. Here are the definitions from the Sandstorm rule book:

Poké-Body: A Poké-Body is an effect on a Pokémon that is always active, as soon as that Pokémon is in play. The effect of that Poké-Body lasts until the Pokémon leaves play.

Poké-Power: Poké-Powers are usually once-per-turn powers on Active and Benched Pokémon, that you must choose to use. Most Poké-Powers are turned off if the Pokémon becomes affected by a Special Condition.

Here is a ruling on Poke-Bodies from the Compendium, although is was made by WotC, so we might ask Jimmer to confirm thay nothing has changed.

Q. I was wondering if you can exactly define the differences between a Poke-BODY and a Poke-POWER, i have heard a few different things going around.
A. Those are just clarifications for the players benefit. They are both Pokemon Powers (menaing Muk would shut them both off). A Poke-BODY only affects the Pokemon that has it and is continuous. A Poke-POWER is an activated Pokemon Power that could have all sorts of effects. Poke-BODYs are not shut off when the Pokemon has a Special Condition on it as well. (Sep 5, 2002 WotC Chat, Q165)
