I think this is a move in the right direction for the game. We need more articles like this coming from the mouth of an official source to get new and even existing players excited.

Interesting list as well. I guess he didn't run into a Quad deck (or expect to)?

My only problem with the list is that it only has 5 Pokemon tools. I think that's a bit risky when battling against a Hammertime/Darkrai deck that runs Tool Scrapper and can keep getting it back with Sableye. I think that the list should run at least 3 more tools or run 2 Sableye and 3 Blend energy.

It's all about local meta. Building Garbodor is, in my experience, totally dictated by what decks people around you are playing. Tyler probably did not expect much Tool Scrapper. He was obviously correct in assuming that. In fact, I didn't see much Tool Scrapper in my area either (Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri). No one really played it.

Why are you complaining about a list? That's so not the point.

Besides. Tyler won. Soooooo too bad for you!

You don't bench more than 1 Trubbish against Darkrai decks. Getting Garbodor out isn't necessary in the matchup.

5 is enough if you play it correctly and has become the standard.

I'm glad that Pokemon contacted me about this! I'm glad I can help show the world that you CAN live free from Skyla. ;)

I've never felt like I needed more than the 5 tools I ran in my list since Winter Regionals. The main thing is playing conservatively with your tools and Supporters so you don't get completely blown out by Tool Scrapper.

I really liked that about your list, too. I've NEVER played Skyla (I really hate the card) and have done reasonably well. I never felt like it was necessary, especially in mostly basic decks.

So the only thing special about this deck is that theres no skyla but colress instead?

Nice deck but its really too conventional to really think anything special about it. Garbador has been meta for a while now. Especially with Klinklang more in the meta and less Tool Scrapper due to Lasers being all over the place and less people running Eviolite, its not really uncommon to see this deck.
