I dont want no dam bootleg.
Do you think it's legal to sell it on ebay but I'll put this in huge font in the description:

"THIS IS A BOOTLEG FAKE VERSION!"

If you put that in the description the listing will be removed from eBay. However, a lot of sellers do get away with selling these. Typically, the sellers are from an Asian country, offer the game at a really cheap price, and say it is "Opened but new". From what I've heard, you can actually buy these bootleg games in actual stores in other countries. The bootleg game will work just as a normal one would, but usually the save batteries die fairly quickly making it so that you cannot save your game. The cart is also sometimes slightly larger than normal and can bend important parts in your GBA causing it to malfunction.
