Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Pokemon Japanese Diamond Pearl Spoilers - Updated!!

Hmm. Leveled up Basics.
We'll have to adjust our definition of what an "evolved Pokemon" is.

Cherinbo L.7 - Grass - HP50
Basic

[G] Sleep Powder: The Defending Pokemon is now Asleep.
[G][C] Leech Seed: 20 damage. If this attack does damage to the Defending Pokemon, remove 1 damage counter from Cherinbo.

Weakness: Fire (+10)
Resistance: Water (+20)
Retreat: 1

Cherrim L.26 - Grass - HP80
Stage 1 - Evolves from Cherinbo

[G] Worry Seed: 20 damage. Flip a coin, if heads the Defending Pokemon is now Confused.
[G][G] Magical Leaf: 20 damage. Flip a coin, if heads this attack does an additional 20 damage to the Defending Pokemon, and remove 3 damage counters from Cherrim.

Weakness: Fire (+20)
Resistance: Water (+20)
Retreat: 2

I don't understand, shouldn't that be -20?
If it's + 20 it's more like an extra weakness, i'm confused.

Probably just a typo. She's only human, she's allowed mistakes...

nanimonoka any idea why scorpi and dorapion are PSYCHIC instead of being darkness or grass? that seems so stupid but there must be a reason for it, has anyone asked PCL about this over there?

Dosidon L.61 – Fighting – HP140
Stage 2 – Evolves from Rhydon

Poke-Power: Fissure
Once during your turn, when you play Dosidon from your hand to evolve 1 of your Pokemon, you may use this power. Discard the top 3 cards from your opponent's deck.

[F][F][C] Stone Cannon: 80 damage. This attack's damage isn't affected by Weakness or Resistance. Dosidon can't attack during your next turn.

Weakness: Water (+30)
Resistance: Lightning (-20)
Retreat: 4

I love this guy! its about time they brought back the concept of decking your opponent as a win condition.

Even we Japanese Player wondering about the change.
But I feel it seems a matter of course.
After all, too many Pokemons are already categorized as grass.

hey.. when it comes to:

Goukazaru L.40 - Fire - HP100
Stage 2 - Evolves from Moukazaru

[C] Meteor Punch: Flip a coin until you get tails. This attack does 30 damage x the number of heads.
[R][R] Flare Drive: Discard all Fire Energy attached to Goukazaru.

How much does flare drive do?.. if it just does that.. whats the point.... i mean.. it sets up for the Lv. X attack, but it seems sort of redundant to vharge to use the attack then discard them instead of chargeing and discarding energies some other way... then attacking next turn with level X

Good catches. I fixed the list. :thumb:

i came up with the combo with Rentora the stage 2 electric. Rentora + Crawdaunt EX. First use rentoras pokemon power to put a basic from your opponents hand to the bench. Then when your opponent has 4 or more pokemon on the bench return one pokemon to the hand =D.

Hmm, yes. Could be easier than it first sounds, though - maybe the definition will just be that a Pokémon is evolved if it is on top of another Pokémon card that does not have the same name? Thus Lucario evolved into Lucario will not be considered an evolved Pokémon.

Speaking of Lucario lv X, Look what I found at the Pokémon Center Osaka yesterday!

So is Lucario Lv. X considered Basic Pokémon, Evolved Pokémon or neither for the purpose of Elm's Training Method and Flygon ex?

Not sure, but probably a Basic, if I understand the Levelup system correctly...

There is no very very strong card here I think... The Pokédex seems bad, I don't understand why you say "woooooow" ! And PlusPower, well... I'm disappointed :p Anyway, I only play since Ex RS !

If you want,I have the 11-14's and 10-'s world champions decklists in 2002 ! But not the 15+... And I see no bill ! :p

Well for me that set is Emerald 2, for the moment I don't see good cards except Shiftry, maybe a few others...

"Energy Restore - Trainer Card

Flip 3 coins. For each heads, search your discard pile for a Basic Energy card, show it to your opponent, and put it in your hand. Shuffle your deck afterward."

LOL find the mistake ! :p

And professor Nanakamado is my friend :)

A Stage One. Like the card says... Lucario evolves, it's not a Baby-Evo...

Looking at Tego's scan of Lucario Lv.X, it seems that under weakness it says Psychic 2X. Maybe the old style weakness and resistance will live on in some form?

I agree completely! I think Dosidon is the best card in the set. Dosidon + Holon Circle and Dosidon + Meteor Falls could be very good combos. 4 Dosidons --> Opponent discards 12 cards. That's a huge advantage. Candys help you there. I love disrupting my opponent's play by discarding cards from his/her deck. That's just a wonderful card... A normal stage 2 with 140 HP ;).
