I have noticed a lot of playthroughs on the internet, and it surprises me that every one of these LPers uses a haymaker deck in the end. no creativity whatsoever, IMO. what do you guys think?

It's almost like they took the base era, removed one of the cards that made it easy to tech (electrode) and then slapped it into the gameboy color.

Oh, wait. That's exactly what they did.

Ever see how difficult it is to get anything in those packs? It's way worse than real life so of course you try and make the deck that's easiest to build.

But Haymaker is by far the best. The only thing close is rain dance with Poliwrath, and energy removal spam.

The computer-controlled player's decks tend not to be very good, so there is some freedom there, but for the sake of finishing the game relatively quickly it's generally more prudent to try to win as often as possible.
