because prices change every single day, and ebay represents what people are willing to pay. There is no such thing as a price guide because it's never set in stone.
 
There's 3 ways if you need help with pokemon prices:

1) Ask the Audience (pokegym)
2) Phone a Friend
3) 50/50 (just wing it!)
 
eBay usually reflects the current market price accurately if you check the completed listings section. The completed listings will show you what prices cards have sold and which haven't giving you a good idea. Sites on the otherhand which show price lists will become out dated very quickly and will not give you an accurate price.
