Except for the most part the cards follow the video games, not the Anime. Exception being Gym Heroes/Gym Challenge, where you did get cards like Brock's Zubat/Vulpix. That's why you've got stuff like Bronzong, that have their Ability affect their card. (Heatproof)

That being said, Cloyster's gotten IIRC 6 cards total. -_-;

They were both printed in Great Encounters, and reprinted with alternate art in POP7.
 
- Needs moar good Dragonites. I haven't seen one since Delta Species and I didn't get to play then. (I don't count FB since it was a tech)

- A good Arcanine. (Lol totally never happening)

- I also think Flygon needs some more love.

These are all Kanto Pokemon that have only 6-7 cards each, not counting the two English reprint sets or things like WOTC having two prints of the same rare in some sets. Kadabra has the same number of cards as these, and an excuse for having such a low number, but these ones don't.

Mantyke and Bonsly also really need new cards too. They have exactly ONE English card, and two Japanese-exclusives. I was annoyed that Mantine and Sudowoodo were in HGSS's base set, but after that they added Sinnoh Pokemon to Undaunted and Triumphant. Mantyke and Bonsly really got screwed over there.
 
These Pokemon should get some love; most of the NU pokemon of 4th gen.

Also not counting, you know, the cards that pop up to promote the yearly movie (Ash has appeared on those occasionally).

Gengar SF wasn't good enough? Seemed Over powered enough to me

Agreed on the Art though. Prime was OK artwork

Haven't had an Empoleon since Platinum. Not too long ago I guess but still... Last competitive one was DP.
 
I think everyone is forgetting the one Pokemon that has been around since the first generation and has yet to receive a card at all. Every single set he has been completely overlooked, and it is time for Nintendo to quit ignoring the existence of this Pokemon that pretty much everyone who owned Red or Blue fought or captured. I am, of course, talking about Missingno.

I didn't forget, it's just my Missingno. always became a Kangaskhan and those were seen in Triumphant.

You may have missed Empoleon MD doing rather well in the GG format. Also there's an Empoleon in SV. An SP Empoleon, sure, but an Empoleon nonetheless.
