Second: Since there's 32 players, and you can only store 32 Friend Codes, would this mean that you have to store all 32 Friend codes? If it's not like that, please let me know.
My only problem with him banning those items are how he called them "hax" since they not really hacked cause you can get them from Emerald and stuff that all.
You say having haze/mist on every pokemon is not feasible? In JAA's explosive was so popular that it was pretty much a given that most if not all of your pokemon have protect. If everyone started playing DT there would be an immeadite reaction where it was countered, and DT wouldn't be played. Then, people would stop playing these counters, and there would eventually be a blalance where there would be a balance of DTs, and counters for it.Also, you CAN take out the pokemon while there DTing, its not like its a sure thing that your attacks will miss. Its quite possible that you'll kill zappy/ninjask before they set them up.Battling with an "always hit move" is another alternative.Actually it is because it takes away from team strategys and you have to devote alot of your team to counter such stuff. If Double Team were allowed, Zapdos and Ninjask would be the center of every team, and having Haze or Mist or whatever on every Pokemon is just not feasible. Double Team is a healthy ban that adds tot he environment and diversity of the metagame, much like the reason why Slowking NG was banned in the TCG.
Smogon didn't ban the move out of their butt, they did it after extensive testing, and there have been multiple attempts at trying to integrate it back in but its just too dominant a strategy. They obviously know about the moves to counter Double Team, but that isn't enough to balance it.
They must not have been so bad if tons of people showed up to each one.I don't see how the rules were bad, double team was allowed and yet it saw virtually no play. People who played explosion ran the risk of walking into protects so explosion was kept in check.Still stuff like Groudon saw tons of play. And who said JAA's rules were any good?
Nothing says you have to play double team, its your choice.Yeah, the never miss moves are sucky, but they would definitely do the trick against them.I just said it was an alternative, you could also just switch to something and one shot the zappy/ninjask the folowing turn. 2 turns of dting wouldn't be enough to prevent a move from hitting in most cases.that is exactly why its good Double Team is banned, Pokemon's can use 4 different moves, wth Double Team, they're limited to 3 PLUS all the never miss moves havesucky BP.

Imo, putting in dt adds to the strategy of the game. You'd start seeing different things come up and counters to them.
Guess we just have to agree on disagreeing. ;p
http://www.serebii.net/pokedex-dp/291.shtml Even an ev trained 252 defense and special defense couldn't take more than one hit from a thunderbolt, ice beam, rock slide(all of which ninjask is 4x weak to, if i remember correctly) ect. the thing is pretty fragile. They can get three (It's very possible, b/c of the insane speed plus the speed boost ability of Ninjask) most likely before you can get in your second attack, they'll pass it out for something you can't kill. Also, It's not like the Ninjask trainer wouldn't train either Defense of HP along with speed. Good luck 1 shooting it.
