Those are the top 3 chains you got using the pokeradar. If you keep it on that screen while using the radar, it'll keep track of the current chain. That way you can tell how close you are to getting a shiny. Other than that, those top 3 chains it deplays are basically for show.

Ok y'all...IM BACK!

I have been doing this ever since we took my brother to a University Workshop.

Here are my chains and what they have resulted:

Shinx Chain of 20 (Shiny @ 15)
Shinx Chain of 66 (Shiny @ 52)

Will update later on my exploits with Voltorbs.

Oh yeah, I now got these shinies using this method:
Shiny Larvitar @ 17
Shiny Starly @ 42
Shiny Gloom @ 2  I wasn't even trying to get a shiny that time.

I also noticed that this method is a lot easier in a huge area covered in grass. Like Route 207.

Just caught shiny Bronzor on a chain of 40 after ressetting the Radar once. I switched to my Impish Synchronize Level 13 Ralts before entering the shiny pach and the Synchronize worked! Too bad I forgot to switch Ralts from the Active slot, and thus my chain broke by a random Ponyta. Oh well, tha's shiny #16 for me!

EDIT: Jus added shiny #17 and #18 to my collection, 2 Psyducks! And the chain continues, I will just chain up now to see where I can get to, I wont be greedy and keep ressetting to get another Psyduck, plus I wanna try with a different Pokemon now, today seems lucky for me.
