And they can't do their own art, why? You're starting to make a point, then you don't.

I'm just saying Pokemon's a global phenomenon, shouldn't PCL rely on the globe for art, as well?

Pokemon Cards are a global phenonemeon but the Pokemon brand is not. Pokemon is a Nintendo Product and they though PCL create all cards including the art for them. PUI just reprints and translates them into English and other languages. They do not create any cards themleves. There are rare exceptions to that rule but they are few and far inbetwwen. But
one econstant is that when they translate card they never change the art on that card just the text.

Gible is a complete reprint.. even the artwork is the same... Buizel, Croagunk...etc... all of their attack has some thing to do with each other.. making them useless

Buizel is still good if you still have Pachirisu GE in play and usually run Floatzel based dek. :thumb:

What about cards like Mewtwo Lv. X and Rhyperior Lv. X that we get first? Why not, when that's going to happen, use a non-Japanese artist for the card? I understand no one here can do anything about it, it's a rhetorical question. Just kinda wish more value was placed on the rest of the, shall we say, Pokemon World.

Worthless. I can't believe they give us a decent POP8, and then follow it up with this. Garchomp and maybe Manaphy are the only cards to have any decent playability, and even that is limited.

Garchomp seems pretty powerful, imagine quickly shadow charging T2 and then unleashing this beast, can't wait to run a Garchomp deck, especially for Pulse of the frontier...man...

Yep it's true according to POP 9 Roseanne's Research and Rare Candy won't be Modified legal anymore for the new MD-On. What the heck was POP/PUI thinking? Without Rare Candy decks will become less consistent and the only early game setup we would only rely on is Call Energy.

Maybe they want an uprise of Stage 1 decks, and a decline to Kingdra?

If so, I support the no rare candy.

And I barely ever use Roseanne

Uprise of Stage 1 decks? Makes sense with Broken Time-Space in Platinum. So much for Rosey, Call Energy is in. Something tells me I'm gonna hate the new Modified format when it rotates with POP 9 coming in, good thing Bebe's Search is getting reprinted after Platinum though...

Why won't they still be legal? They are in POP8 and i doubt that will be rotated out.

And mind I ask you where you got this shiny new MD-On format? Any link to provide us with evidence backing this up?

So you mean that both POP 8 and POP 9 cards will still be legal for Modified after Worlds 2009 when Modified rotates out is that what you're saying? I thought POP 8 was gonna get rotated out along with Diamond/Pearl, Mysterious Treasures, Great Encounters, and Secret Wonders.

That just leaves Majestic Dawn, Legends Awakened, Stormfront, Platinum, and POP 9 being the only Modified legal cards when the format rotates after Worlds 2009 this coming August I believe. Now unless they throw in POP 8 for MD-On that could be a possibility though.

Why do I need to post a link, it's common sense that whenever a new Pokemon TCG series is released such as Platinum that the Modified format rotates out 4 sets after the 3 sets that came out before the format rotated.

The only exception with the Diamond & Pearl sets was that there was so many that the format needed to wait until a new TCG Series was released such as Platinum thus Modified will consist of 3 sets from D/P and Platinum, not to mention POP 9 as well unless POP 8 will still be in the format.

If you still want a link here it is:

No one knows the rotation untill PUI tells us. It is all speculation untill then.

You list these as the sets after rotation after world's. Majestic Dawn, Legends Awakened, Stormfront, Platinum, and POP 9. Your forgetting we have another set coming before world's and one coming at about the time of world's. That will leave 6 sets after world's. As for POP8 they usually only rotate two pop sets. (6 and 7)

And that link you gave only shows more speculation. When PUI announces the rotation that is when we will know for sure.
