Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

POP staffing change

Congratulations Mike!
May your new venture open up a whole new world of challenges and opportunities for you.
It has been a pleasure and honor working with you.
You will be deeply missed!

Remember people, this isn't a funeral, but a rebirth. Mike has done many, many amazing things for the organized play of the Pokemon TCG. It probabally wouldn't be half the well oiled machine it is today without him, and he will be missed among the community, but I am almost certain he will return after he is done with the Video Game organized play.

I cannot think of one other soul more deserving, qualified, or better suited for the position of shaping the Video Game organized play into a fitting sister of its TCG counterpart. Mike, I am certain that all of us on Pokegym, and most certainly everyone in the TCG community itself, is greatful for the job you have done, and will ocntinue to support you into futures certain. You will be great at this, it is historically impossible for you not to.

Best of luck in everything.

Congrats Mike I know you will be missed but I also know you will do great in the new position. Please keep in touch

Hey, Liesik, here's your budget. We need you to develop leagues and revitalize the Pokemon Professor Program. Make them something special!

Mike L:
Will do!!

...and he really did, too!!! Mike, thanks for the incredible hours and effort that you've put in to make the OP division of the TCG as strong as it is now and will be in the future. The video game is in GREAT hands!

Wishing you great success in your new position! The VG world will go a long way with you at the helm! They are so fortunate to have you in the VG world! We'll miss you at TCG, though!

Mike,'Congrats on the new position. The Video Game has been huge in the last few years and with you on board now it will continue to run strong. I wish you the best with your new role and were all gonna miss ya around the TCG. Don't forget to pop your head in at events to say hi to all the players who grew a strong bond with you.:thumb:

Congrats King Bacon of Porkingshire!

You are still with TPC and that is the important thing!

So does this mean we will miss your Magic Show this Year at Nats and Worlds?

Mike, congratulations for your new job.
It's hard to accept that TCG is going to lose one of the best staff member....
I have seen Jarrod leave the TCG and now Mike....
Good luck Mike!

Good luck with your new position! I hope you will make it as big as OP. I think a lot of people will miss you here at OP though...

Video game OP! What could be better than that? I've been hoping for this for a VERY long time, and they picked the right man for the job. KUDOS!

Congratulations

The video game organized play needs a strong person with new ideas who listens to the people that play the game. Here's hoping that Mike will do that with the video game like he has with the card game. :thumb:

Locally we have many Pokemon TCG players that love the video game. We have DS tournaments at each TCG tournament we hold. I hope to see the video game OP hold more sanctioned tournements that allow anyone who wants to participate to get to play; just like the TCG allows anyone who comes to a tournament to play.

Suggestions: 1. more video OP tournaments
2. allow anyone who wants to play to play. Suppose the TCG drew names out the the hat to see who can play at nationals and Jimmy Ballards' and Gino's name were not chosen? my 2 cents.

Best wishes in your new job Mike!!
This is a good move for the video game OP.
