Hehe thanks Ross. It's my fault for not having a ride down there. Just thought I would ask to see if anyone was going down and could give me a ride. =)

My secret contacts could only inform me that the 15+ finals was between Lucas B and Jeff C. No other info could be given except that the 10- was so small they added it to the 11-14.

GET NEW SOURCES!!!

15+ final match was between Jeff C and Tyler H. It was a mirror match between Hariyama ex decks. I would say that the final match was one of the best Pokemon matches I have ever seen in my life, including the many matches I have seen at Premier events such as Worlds. It went 1 and 1, and the third game of the match had just started when the 1 hour time expired. The sudden Death lasted 35 minutes and was an intense experience for players and spectators alike. Both players are to be congratulated, especially Jeff C who pulled out the win.

We played age modified swiss, so all ages were combined. I NEVER combine just 2 age groups. If the smallest group cannot stand on their own, everyone plays together.

I'll post the breakdown later, but the total was 48. It was a fantastic day of Pokemon. Thanks to all who made the trip to Eugene.

OK, I have a bit of time so here are a few more details on the Eugene Gym.

Total: 48 players

10 and under: 7 (Winner Matt S)
11-14: 10 (Winner Bryan K)
15 and up: 31 (Winner Jeff C)

We had quite a few players come down from Washington. I love the rivalry between OR and WA, but why do the OR players always seem to come out on the short end. We had some local Eugene players show up that usually do not get to attend our big events. Thanks for coming and we hope to see you in the future. There were also some folks from the extreme southern part of the state, Klamath Falls. Great to see you guys, and I hope we can get some Premier events going down your way.

Tha day went smooth for the judging staff. Thanks to Levi C and Josh B for stepping up and helping. And most of all, THANK YOU players for making the Pacific Northwest the best Pokemon region of the US!!!! See you at Nationals or the August Prerelease.

greetings pokepeople, this is ancient pokemon trainer's mom. i would like to create an email group for team washington, so we can have a simple, efficient way of making plans for worlds (and other tournaments). it seems that MANY of our amazing players are heading for san diego this summer - let's connect beforehand to share interesting and useful info. if you're interested in being part of this online community, email me at [email protected]. i'd like to use this as a resource into the future (i.e., people driving to events in the region that have room for riders, or riders needing a ride, or parties, or what-have-you!), so please please please be part of it!! thanks and congratulations to all on a stupendous season so far. ya'll truly are the elite!!

I would like to say that since Matt S had already won a trip, that the trip passed down to Rian W. from Shane's League in Renton..>Way to go Rian...

I must say that the final 15+ match between Jeff and Tyler was one of the greates matches ever...

The first game went 45 minutes with Tyler taking 6 prizes. The second game was started and with about 2 minutes left, Jeff knocked out Tylers only pokemon to get tied at 1-1 games. The final game started just prior the the 1 hour time limit and as BDS said it went 35 minutes...timely top decking,,,timely heads flips on Energy Removal Two and Pokemon Reversals made the game interesting... Jeff finally won by knocking out Jirachi with Hariama EX...

Tyler and Jeff are great sports.,,,,terrific play...timely play both are to be commended...

I had a wonderful time..entering data, walking the floor to judgea and had the opportunity to judge the finals of the 15+ division....Thanks to the sportsmanship of the players and staff.

It was a usual well run event by BDS...............

Also as you see...

My son won the 11-14 division.....YEA !!!!!!!

btw ....kudos to Matt C. for his sportsmanship........
