Porygon-2: Why isnt he used?

I know there are better card out there for draw support(uxie, Claydol, etc) But Why don't people use porygon 2 with several draw supporters? His pokepower allows you to use a supporter as his pokepower. So Why don't people use it more? Though your deck would have to be rather supporter heavy, I don't see a reason this isnt used more for players who don't have access to the more expensive draw engines.

Claydol is betetr since all draw supporters are crap right now, and you dont have to stuff your deck out with bad cards. If you cant get a claydol, play a deck that doesnt need one, replacing a card because you cant get it is never a good idea, and claydol is just not replaceable

I've wondered that myself. I often tell little kids at my League who don't have Claydol or Uxie (nor the resources to obtain them) to use Porygon2 instead. I'm currently building a deck centered around Porygon-Z and one particular Rising Rivals Pokémon (the build of which I intend to reveal soon), and Porygon2 will be MASSIVE in that deck.

The only reason I like Claydol better: You can have almost nothing in your hand and still be able to use Claydol.
Porygon 2 requires you to have supporter in hand which.. can be difficult if your hand gets nuked for some reason. If you get lucky with whats in your hand though, it DOES set up a heck of a lot faster then Claydol.

Considering all of the new supporters that just came out (Cyrus most notably, also Flint, Volkner, Aaron, Lucian, etc.) I'd be really surprised if no one finds a way to break Poryon 2's abilities... Though a lot of the supporters help SP decks which are... primarily Basic oriented and don't really want a Porygon 2 sitting on the bench, even less of a desire for Porygon Z LV.X (which is a REEEEEALLY cool engine that no one's going to run XD)... Yeeeah. :/

Its Floatzel GL I guess.

The power of Porygon-2 to discard Supporters + Foatzel's attack to get 2 Supporters from the discard is a nice way for setup...

I guess...

Shhh... dont let the word get out, everyone is still in love with Flygon

Porygon2 by its self is a little flimsy since he only has 70 HP and has 2 retreat cost (If he gets stuck as active). He's great in the Porygonz/Lucario deck that was mentioned earlier, but is absolutley dependent on a ton of supporters.

Thanks to Vokners and Jiachi (RR) the deck can work a little better

Porygon2 I always suggest as a Claydol alternitive. However you need room for 16-17 supporters to play it well, and it's not easy to find that room.

Porygon2 is a bonus, but not a replacement for Claydol. The power itself isn't that great, what makes it good is the fact that it's a Stage 1 mid-evolution, none of the other ones (except for Vibrava in RR) does something useful by itself. That's one of the reasons why Porygon-Z is a great deck. With BTS in play, it's absolutely no problem to get your complete setup from a single basic to Porygon-Z, Claydol and one or two tech lines during one single turn.

Personally, i'd rathar beat you with "Garbage" cards.
Claydol is useless to me, because I ain't no conformist.

Porygon 2 is overlooked, I think. and it's especially useful now in say... AMU decks because of the blister Porygon-Z

even if you rare candy it straight to Porygon-Z first turn, you're still getting out the Lv.X's you need (plus a first turn 120hp pokemon is likely to last more than one of their turns, but not a guarantee)
then more Porygons to evolve to Porygon2, once that Porygon-Z's Learning is done with, you can still use the supporter ability

either way, Eevee's still own souls.

You realize you answered your own question in the first line, right? You admit there are better draw support pokemon, and then ask why people don't use Porygon.

You kidding?

Why isn't it used over the more expensive draw engines? Because people purchase the expensive draw engines.

You don't use Porygon-Z just to level up Pokémon in decks like AMU. That's a complete waste of ressources. Why should I have a Stage 2 Pokémon with 2 retreat in my deck, build it up and pass an attack turn for something I could do with a Bebe and maybe a Switch as well?

Porygon-Z is the mainhitter if you play it. You can use Learning sometimes to level up your deck stuff, but sometimes even this isn't a good idea. It leaves Porygon-Z open to attacks just for setup issues. Because of this, I even lost a game in States tops when I played this deck for the first tournament and didn't really know the what's the trick to deal with Galactics.

Porygon-2 is just a little too limited to be as reliable as some of the other draw engines.

Supporters can end up 'clogging your hand'... ie wrong supporter for the present situation or you could run into supporter drought making P-2 dead weight.

It's not a bad card, it is just not optimal...

This is coming from the Happiny, Chansey & Blissey / Buneary & Lopunny draw engine fan.

I personally think that even Gardevoir (Secret Wonders) is better than Porygon, because you don't have to discard your own supporter. And it lasts the whole game, while with Porygon you have to discard every single time. It's almost better to attack to draw cards like with Blissey (Platinum).

Gardevoir is dependent on your opponent's discard pile for her effect. If they only have a wager in there, then that may not help you.

I like Porygon2 an little more b/c it fits perfectly in his line thats all about using supporters and searching stuff out

If I had to put Porygon into a deck, I'd have to beef up the supporters to something like 4 Bebes, 4 RR, 4 POV and 4 Cynthias. Thats extra room which has be found.

Uxie, Claydol and Gardevoir are all better.

yeah, LA Lolbunny does rock, despite the wasting your attack for 3 cards

I don't understand why people don't like Amulet Coin much, i've been told by Terry Camm himself to take it out of my deck

and I personally replaced the Porygon family with the Garchomp line (3-1-2-1) because it's a 4-colour deck and Rainbow Scale is just epic in something like that
and i've been comboinb Felicty's Drawing with Restore & Snowpoint Temple, and it's been working against my friend's AMU/Dialga-G/Mewtwo deck
