Porygon2 - A possible comeback?

Well, Rising Rivals is less then 30 days away, and the SP Pokemon have a crazy amount of useful supporters, such as Lucien, Flint and Bertha, as well as things like Roseanne and Cyrus, as well as maybe Marley. Now, that's 5 or 6 useful supporters, and you can't play that many supporters a turn.

Now, this is where I think Porygon2 shines. Download=Bonus Supporter a Turn.

Let's think about this for a bit. You can get an energy gain, heal 5 damage counters and get a second energy attachment all in a single turn, by using Cyrus, Bertha and Flint.

You can also combine it with Lucien, and can move energy around like mad.

I really see this combo as amazing

Cyrus's Conspiracy gets you an Energy Gain, Flint and an energy. Now usually, you'll have an energy in your hand, so attach it. Then use Download and choose Flint's Spirit. This attaches that energy that you got with Cyrus. All in all, that's 2 energy and an energy gain all in one turn. When used with Luxray GL, that's a T1 70 which is a lot of damage on Turn 1, almost on par with Rampardos.

So yeah, I kinda think Porygon2 will become a huge draw power card.

What do you think?

I have ben hyping Porygon2 for a while now. In fact, I have used it in my city and reginals deck and it works great.

Possible combo: Volkner's Philosophy and any other supporter of your choice!! It will be the new claydol before it get's rotated out.

Now that we have good all purpose draw, Porygon 2 could be useful with decks that like a burst of speed. in exchange for a little bench space.

I just did some testing with Porygon2, Claydol and Uxie Lv.X individually, combinations of the 3 of them, and all 3 of them. I was using Palkia G. Uxie line was 3-1, Porygon2 and Claydol were 2-2. I proxied all the supporters

Just Porygon2 - T2 Pearl Breath, T3 Hydro Shot
Just Claydol - T3 Pearl Breath, T4 Hydro Shot (stupid Cosmic Power for not getting any Cyrus)
Just Uxie - T3 Pearl Breath, T4 Hydro Shot (couldn't get that Energy Gain grr)

Porygon2 and Claydol - T1 Pearl Breath, T2 Hydro Shot (Flint's Spirit FTW)
Porygon2 and Uxie - T2 Pearl Breath, T3 Hydro Shot
Claydol and Uxie - T3 Pearl Breath, T4 Hydro Shot (stupid Energy Gains were prized all 5 games)

Porygon2, Claydol and Uxie - T2 Pearl Breath, T3 Hydro Shot (took a while to get Energy Gains, as kept needing Poketurns and Power Spray)

So yeah, from this testing I learned

1. Uxie was the slowest, which was really surprising. :(
2. Claydol was the average, and the most consistent, like it should be. :)
3. Porygon2 was AMAZING. It was breath taking putting when seeing how fast I was going through my deck, like 8 cards a turn. :) :) :)

I kinda think Porygon2 might actually replace Claydol (as crazy as that sounds), or at least make 1-1 Claydol more efficient.

I never thought that I'd say those words as long as Great Encounters was legal...WOW

Porygon 2 is good but like any card he has his flaws:

an evolution (no T1 results like Sableye)

70 HP is dangerously low for a Stage 1

Abuse of this card depends on if you have multiple Supporters in opening hand. If you don't you can't really abuse it.

From Great Encounters (fear of being rotated)

I prefer the new Jirachi that has a free attack that lets you replicate the supporter you just played that turn (this+ Flint= Attach 3 energies in a turn=BROKEN). It also has a poke power that lets search for ANY card in your deck after its knocked out. Last but not least it has FREE retreat.

Sorry to shoot down your combo, but thats just my opinion

If you consider running Porygon2, go for the whole line.

Porygon Z Lv.X has two absolutely awesome powers. When SP Pokemon start to get SP Energy and other types of special energy, this guy will be da rogue.

I say run 2-2-1-1 of the line.

I think contained in a Porygon-based deck, Porygon 2 can be the quickest acceleration you can get. But it requires space, that not all decks have, so Porygon isn't as abusable in the general deck.

Porygon is awesome early on. But it runs out of steam quickly. After t4 I'd much rather have a Claydol on my bench.
