Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Post-rotation BDIF discussion

because they're definitely the go to for all your competitive deck building needs~

As said on a site where folks claim Magcargo > Charizard.

That said...yeah, SP is looking pretty scary strong. Vileplume WILL pop up, just dont know how much. There'll be oddballs too...its gonna be interesting.

Much too early to talk about a BDIF right now guys. For BRs, it will probably waffle between Luxchomp and possibly Vilegar. After that, Gengar will likely dominate, and then we'll all sit around campfires trying to decide how to counter it - and whatever does that will probably become BDIF.

But we don't know for sure.

Vioplume gengar seems a bit slow so i would perfer for competive is vioplume mismaguis from und because that is only a one stage evovment so it would be quicker.

You people are crazy. Luxchomp will be forever dead after the next set is released. Until then scizor prime will take luxchomp out of the mix. Look for my scizor prime deck to be winning at battle roads.

Scizor is not that good, because you can tech in a blaziken fb x against scizor very easily. Besides it doesnt rely on special energies that much.

I also dont think that the next set will destroy luxchomp.

Um, yes it will be dead. Gengar prime kills it bad. For four energy you can place four pokemon in the lost zone. If lux x and chomp x are in there hand, good by to them with no way to bring them back. I win you lose. Hahahahahahaha

Because Luxchomp is such a slow and undisruptive deck that it ALWAYS allows Stage 2s to get set up, even without Claydol, right?

Your scenario (like 90% of all bad theorymon) involves you getting a perfect set up (Gengar w/ FOUR Psychic Energy ), and them having a disaster (holding Chomp and Luxray X).

IF Lost World isn't cut from the set, Gengar will likely be a tier 1 deck, but it won't kill off Luxchomp.

Well its true that gengar prime can kill luxray and garchomp and if you have other gengars with it also of course the curse one is the best one with it.

If Gengar is allowed the set up, it should still really hurt Luxchomp, by disallowing them to use their Level Up powers more than once without using a ridiculous amount of bench space for doubles of each. It's not going to be an autoloss, but it will be a sucky matchup.

Lol Scizor and Gengar Prime are going to ruin Luxchomp? Hahahahaha

Four energy? What kind of Luxchomp do YOU play against that allows you to attach 4 energy? Eeeeesh

Every time I play one, I'm set up ether t1 or t2 doing at least 90. I don't care how fast luxchomp is. I can put down mesprit la and screw up bright look and healing. And with luck I can ssu it and do it four times in a row. Plenty of time to win the game. Think about that. As for gengar prime, it speaks for it's self. With addition of the lost world stadium, I can possible win the game by turn 2, turn 3, and four. So as you can see ( as I said before) luxchomp will be dead by the end of this year. I win again. Hahahahahahaha

T1/2 Gengar doing 90+

Mesprit drops that aren't sprayed

Four SSUs in hand, flipping heads every time.

You are definitely having a laugh.

With luck like that, you should be doing the lottery, not wasting your time on Pokemon.

Theorymon FTW!!!!!!!!

Don't be sad that the crap luxchomp deck and all the money you spent on it will be useless in a few months general. Should have spent it on decks that are better( scizor and gengar prime) at the fraction of the cost.
