It's just an extra damage counter. It doesn't seem that special to me.

Some of the new (to the US) cards have been seen in Japan, like the Jolteon *.
However, it looks like some are brand new, never been seen anywhere before.
 
Why do people keep goign crazy because blaze is back. I understand Chris because he's always been in love with the card but to everyone else, Draggy d does the same thing and it's more searchable (researcher, petm, celios, transceiver) with better combos present at the moment.
 
I agree metagross is good. It does break certain decks. However I do think it will be over-rated.It's weaknesses hurt alot. Fighting (Most notably RaiEgs) and Fire (Flaridos/Sallygross).

Imo it will be good , but it wont 'break the format'.

Blaziken has a more effective attack and better weakness.

Also, he has a strong nostalgic value.

And he isn't affected by Battle Frontier.

Those are good points for Blaziken. The biggest thing is that it ruled a while ago. So when a 'king' returns, people just freak about it.

Imagine if the LBS parts needed were reprinted >.>

we are getting this in feb. d/p won't be in america until spring 2007. this will be the last ex set. then we will move onto d/p. deal with it.

Nice Attitude Man, Wow, I was posting my opinion and you completely bash me, and yes that is bashing, I didnt say I hated or dislike the D/P pokemon or the new mechanics, it is more of the drawing a card every turn and stuff like that, that I dont quite enjoy. Plus, me wanting D-P to not be printed into the current game isnt gonna make it happen.

If there are a lot of new cards released in this set that Japan doesn't have, when are they going to get them? If they get them in their next set, their format is weird with ex's and Lv.Xs running into each other and changes to weakness and resistance running into newer cards with the same old weakness and resistance.

There's always a chance that the new DP set could be for it's own format or expansion or promo collection. If japan is going to get the new cards in this set in a future set, it would only make sense to make the DP set in japan by itself or a collection of some sort.

I guess what I'm saying is that either the new cards in this set become promos in japan, or we are forced to have a format with EX and Lv.X pokemon together, with pokemon with double weakness and ones with +20 weakness. And stage 2's with 120HP max and stage 2's with 140HP. The current game and the game with the new DP rules don't work well together IMHO, and it will be hard to adjust if we are forced to know both rules just incase we run into a Traditional card or a DP card.
 
*sigh* Well looks like I'm buying 3-4 Metagross EXs in a couple months.

The effect is just...awesome.

I guess they just throw out the best set they can muster before the game changes, eh?
 
Set looks really nice and comes out jsut in time for my birthday. Also i guess we will only get the 3 eeveelutions becasue if jolteon is 101 of 108 and they are 6 energys, that leaves no room for umbreon and espeon.
 
Luckily, I get a free box, hopefully meaning a Metagross ex and a few Firestarter Blaze's ;) 2nd place at Worlds FTW!!!!
 
I cant wait for this set. I really want Metagross EX because Im trying to make a good metal/dark deck and that would probally help.

Also what does LBS stand for?
