Yes it is time to start rumourring about this tournament. We have prepared even bigger prizes and better support. We would like to thank TPCI and our local distributor for getting a chance to organize this friendly CUP even this year.

ACCOMMODATION IN HOTEL DUO​

Hotel DUO is a 4 star hotel near metro with pool, many restaurants and other entertainments to enjoy. We are very happy to present you this venue again, because it is a hotel with reasonable prizes and high quality accommodation in Prague. After a big success last year, the hotel offered us a big conference hall without any conditions to be met.

Please make reservations as soon as possible (you can cancel it anytime), because we have only limited number of rooms and if you book your stay early we can extend the reserved capacity for this event!

So if you consider going, rather book it as early as possible for such cheap prize (and eventually cancel it), than wait and miss the chance to have such unbeatable prizes.

Please use the form for reservations in the hotel DUO****. This is the only way how to have clear overview of how many people would come. Sounds great, I hope I can be there even if it's a long way.

But one thing, you shouldn't do that local pro stuff again - it's a nice feature but caused a lot of trouble last year.

Another question, there will probably a set release around that date - do you already know if Prague Cup is played with or without the November set?

ShadowGuard: Local Pro won't be part of the staff team this year. Acceptable? This year it will be only about boosters and the guy will need to leave the room together with you after the end of the round as anybody else ;).

I think release is planned for 2.11.2011, therefore the goods should be here. But it only should. I will try my best to get it here, but I can promise nothing :-(. I would like to organize releases, but this will be only possible if Distributor gets the goods in time. It usualy arrives in time, but there are some exceptions. I know I could announce the BW2 set, but I would like to get the new one to make it more special for the players. I can promise to drive my car to the warehouse at Friday to get the stuff if it is a bit late, but I can't do magic if something happens and it will be more than late... I do not know if this is ok for you, but I will do my best to get it here on time. Distributor already knows this condition, so I hope they will do their best as well.

So, does this mean that BW3 would already be tournament-legal for the Prague Cup? I think that this is very important question.
 
2.11 looks like to be the date of the American release, so it's too short time for players to import cards from that set. BW3 should be banned for that tournament.

Agreed.
Not every country in Europe has the English cards at the official release date, there are often delays. If it was allowed to play BW3, it would be unfair for player who don't have them in their country yet at that time.
 
Sure BW3 will be banned for the main tournament, I am trying to get the BW3 boosters for the prizes and the release party ;)
 
wow, 32k is great! im glad i was able to participate in the inaugural prague cup but i dont think i will be there this time. best of luck with the tournament
 
BW3 will definitely not be legal for Prague Cup 2011. However, we hope to get enough product to have BW3 as prizes and maybe organize a release event as well on friday.

We will also have a bigger main room for this year, as well as a better way to post pairings and standings.

Rest assured that we have learned a lot from last year and we will not repeat the same mistakes again.
 
Everything is set and goes well. If you are going to Worlds and have any questions, doubts or ideas, meet me there and we could chat about it anytime ;-). I will be a translator for Czech guys ;-).

Remember to make the reservation in the hotel as soon as possible, because we have only limited number of reserved rooms with this offer. If we reach this limit in timely manner we could increase the number. As I said before, you could cancel it anyway XD, so if you consider going, book yourself and your friend a room until 31.8.2011. Prices are very affordable: 36 EUR per doubleroom (= 18 EUR per person in doubleroom) with breakfast in **** hotel ;-) with many amenities ;-).
