Pre-release Tournaments...

Is there a list of places that will be holding the Sandstorm Pre-Release tournaments? Just wondering, because I see people posting about some coming up.

erm I suggest you look under tournaments and organised play here

I daresay as this is in news instead of there it's probably gonna get locked too...

So, we are going to have, what, 4 days to know where the tourneys are???

Better pray you have local TOs pumping these in your area...oh wait, premier TOs are rarely local TOs! How does it take a premier TO to run a tourney with only 25-30 people at the MOST???

If the list does not get up before Wed, I will not even be able to tell my gym where they CAN go (noone will, will be a 5 hour drive, at least)

Feh, guess we have to wait for the next round, or the next round, or the next round....At least I have league..actually 2 to RUN...

See you at my league, note to Nintendo...

WE STILL PLAY POKEMON IN ST LOUIS

Yeah, that's why I was asking. If the new set is coming out in the middle of the month, shouldn't they be telling us now where they'll be, because it's almost September, and they prerelease tournies will probably be that first week. If turnouts are low, it'll be nintendos fault if they don't get the list up soon enough.

Toronto's Sandstorm pre-release is being organized by the same one as the R/S challenge, in the same building, on Sat Sept 13. Entry fee is $30 Canadian. You can either email Marvin at: [email protected] or myself at [email protected] if you need any information.

Well I hope there are more than the 18 locations of the R/S challenge.
I don't want my hopes to be dashed for the 2nd time in 2 months!

From what I have heard there will be around 30 to 35 of them this time around. Dont worry Nintendo is working their hardest to get as many tournament as they can in the areas of players. As for the locator they are still trying to get some of the information from the TOs, since not all of them have turned in stuff yet from what I have heard.

Yeah, I hear that!

There was not a single R/S tournament(not that it matters now) in the Lone Star State. I hope at least that one of those extra locations that Gym Leader Blaine is talking about includes somewhere close to where I live in Texas. *Gets on his knees and fervently prays*

Here is an excerpt from an email I got from Nintendo...

Thank you for your interest in running Premier events ...... Pokémon Organized Play (POP) is continuing it’s recruiting of Premier Level tournament organizers. We need premier event organizers to host the Pokémon-e TCG: EX Sandstorm prerelease event the second weekend in September...........We will be honoring 35 events throughout North America.

SO 35 events........????!!!!

See they are trying to get more going. It is good to hear that they are still looking for premier event organizers to help with the tournament. Good luck on getting it Pokeplayer :thumb: it is a lot of fun to do, hard work, but still lots of fun. :D

Pokeplayer lives in Seattle, not Texas.
-Pokeplayer, Washington Pokeplayers  are all behind you. Get that tournament! :thumb:
(Out of nowhere a large group of people comes and starts cheering)

btw, the prize support is worse, ilc.

But you do get 2 exclusive promos, that's how they justify it. I think its still a good deal, the R/S prizes were amazing (especially for the price).

Hey guys, this belongs in the tournament forum...moving.

Yeah, I hope they at least have a couple of Prereleases in Texas. Perhaps one in N. Texas and one around the Houston area. If that happens, they would be superb!
