Okay in the upcoming set Im going to attempt to make a Dusknoir and Gengar deck.
There are going to out speed Kingdra and AMU and proceed to Tier 1 according to my knowledge.

The decklist I thought of is:

I know the deck spreads out damage counters like crazy and gengar has fainting spell which create problems for the oponent. Knockiing out the Lv.X makes things even better.

So if anyone can give me any tips on the decklist or any other important pointers on how to run the deck then that would be great.

hey ho.
you need to cut down on gengar line
and psychic energies
and get rid of wager.

then u gotta add in things like
pokeradar
spritomb
bucks or POV
etc.

btw - i have 2-3 groudons here that you may like for your groudonk deck.
 
in my opinion claydol>dusknoir because u do not have to discard the cards. Also claydol help prevent decking out.
 
Can you see the claydol now?

Jason I only need a regirock, stark mountain and roseanne

Also thanks on the advice with gengar and energy it is a bit too much

Any other ideas?
 
I'm going to have to agree with the Spiritomb comment. Maybe something like:

-1 Ghastly
-1 Gengar
- 2 Team Galactic's Wager
+2 Spiritomb
+2 Professor Oak's Visit

Add 4 Call energy in place of 4 psychic. If youre not going to play a true "Starter" pokemon like Sableye, Chatot, or Pachi then you'll need call energy atleast.

I think 2 spiritomb is too much. The last thing u want to do is end up with one of those as ur only pokemon in ur opening hand.

I'd add in 1 Azelf from LA to get the Lv. X out of ur prizes just in case.

Get rid of Buck's Training. Your deck is hardly ever going to do damage. Most of your attacks revolve around placing damage counters.

Id rather use Sableye over call energy and azelf is a good idea
bucks was there because Jason suggested it but I didn't think much of it either.

You dont need more than 13-14 energy in this deck. 16 is waaay too much as your pokemon all have 1-2 energy attacks.

Personally I would do 9 Psychic 4 Call. But its up to u.

And I would definitely consider working in Sableyes. With ur list now u could easily drop 3 energy and like 1 night maintance or roseannes for 4 Sableye. Plus adding more pokemon will make your pokeradar's that much more worthwhile.

But playtest playtest playtest. Then figure it out as u go along.

I have a very similar deck built. And i'm trying to work out the kinks. So far I've had no use for Spiritomb at all.
