Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Prepare for Worlds 2005 outside the USA

Michel, the results are in the rankings but I have opted out from ranking. (for all of us)
It doesn't matter in which country you play a sanctioned tournament, you will still appear at your own National list.

I don't want to let PSG say: look we have that many players in the ranking. Those players traveled a long way to play modified and thanks to PSG there are no official modified tournaments nearby.
They played nice wheather with my results one time, I don't given them a second time.

All we try to do is get an invitation for Worlds abroad, that the trip is not included doesn't matter for us, we will pay that ourselves like we partly did this year.

yup, thanks again lia =D

btw, there was no prerelease of TRR too
and as lia and (i think) henna said, no modified tournaments.
lia, do you want me to mail erik (PSG) or PUI or whatever?
anyhow, an invitation would be nice indeed, but i'd like to see trips too, (at least one for EACH age category)
like most countries have.
and michel, it is not easy for 10 minus and 11-14 and some 15+ players to travel to belgium :p

Today december 13 th another tournament appeared, it takes place on december 18th, but again NOT modified.
Even worse, it's FUN format but they use their OWN CREATED PLAYINGRULES.
Quess who is sanctioning it, the distributor.
They are really making funny moves to get at least a few tournaments sanctioned and again don't care if it's according the rules. But who cares, distributors are allowed to do what they want and that includes not obey the playingrules.

Good job PSgames this is already the 4th FUN tournament in the whole country since Worlds, we are still waiting for real tournaments.

Why do they ban Sneasel, Slowking, Pikachu and SER?

Wow, RainbowGym, I really bleed for you. That's an aweful situation you and your peers are in, and I wish you and your peers best of luck. I'm sorry my post doesn't contribute more to your cause.

this weekend we went to Antwerp (Belgium) to play the CC.
Finally a change to play a normal modified tournament. Although we have to travel a long way to another country to play. NO separates agegroups, so for the younger ones a hard time to get higher into the ranking.

Tomorrow this board will be not accesable to post,

today december 23 there are still no Modified tournaments in our country.
No CC's nothing to prepare for Worlds.
Belgium our neighbourcountry has some CC's so we are traveling there to get some exercise.

To end this year with a final remark.
Since Worlds Not a single modified tournament and that's a great job for a ND who was telling and mailing around that they were THE superpower in Pokemon OP in Europe.
WHICH OP?????? NOPLAY they mean.

Nothing to look forward to for the Dutch players.
Well done OP international and National Distributor, I'm impressed what you together have established in my country after 18 months.

NOw I finally understand the phrase "we will not let our distributors fail"
It's to simple for words, if you don't do anything you can't fail, why did I never thought about that.

Everyone be carefull with fireworks and see you in the new year.

Today januari 5th still no modified tournament on our country.
No Prerelease Deoxys Ex announced, just nothing.

Thats how all of the tournaments over here run. Everyone gets thrown into the same tournament regardless of age, but then it gets separeated when you cut to top 8 or whatever.

that is not AGE Modified Swiss, that's Swiss.
In AGE modified swiss you should start playing against somebody of your own agegroup.
Then next rounds you will face older/younger players, but as 8 years old you should never have to start against an adult.

Yesterday PUI announced were Worlds is going to be held.
After a quick check I figured out that our changes to participate are very little.

When in a country there aren't even simple Modified tournaments, Prereleases or City Championships.
Can you expect to see anything as States, Regionals, Stadiums or Nationals?
I don't think so.

I just don't know what to do?
Contact our local distributor and again getting no answers.
Contact PUI and get the same answer we heared for over 18 months ---> contact your local distributor.

While most pokegym members are exited about Worlds, I feel tired, very tired.
We are here with a bunch of good players and NOBODY from the official side is doing anything for those players.

januari 13, 2005

No modified tournaments in the locator.
No Answer from our Local Distributor on my email of 11-01-05 with the question if we are going to have CC's,States, Regional or Nationals.
It seems it's a difficult question to answer.

here in brasil we're facing a big internal problem:
i'd say about 60% of players in brasil currently live in São Paulo, and devir (this crap stuff represents nintendo here) started making CC around Brasil. The main problem is that 90% of places for our nationals are to people from São Paulo, my city (Curitiba) has just 1 place for nationals, and são paulo more then 20, this is not fair.. Now back to worlds, another problem we're facing here is that parents dont support their children playing pokemon, so 10 and under age group wont have a single kid, and this category also will have a trip to USA to play worlds... we're trying to talk with devir here to send the trips to more 11- 14 and 15+ players (since there're 2 places on worlds for each age group, but just the 1st one get the free trip).

A quick search on Brazil gave me only 7 players with a My Pokemon account.
How many players total are you talking about.
Also Nationals is an open event so anyone can play in it. I assume you are talking about byes to earn for Nationals.

Depending on how large the Brazil playersbase is, I think 3 trips is more than most european can dream of.
But Brazil is a large country.

januari 14

Found today a new announced tournament in the locator for the Netherlands on feb 27.
And it is ....................... OH, NO not again a FUN one.

When I looked yesterday there appeared a tournament FUN on feb 27 FUN. After a quick check this morning suddenly there was another one jan 14 FUN, but it was also cancelled directly.

Strange.

well, i'd say that there're more then 100 good active layers, but POP system isnt in many cities, like mine, then just a bunch of players are ranked
