Professor Logos are going away...

While the process of getting everyone approved is moving along smoothly, I am seeing a few requests that are being denied simply because the Professor is not completing the request properly.

Please read these instructions: http://pokegym.net/forums/view.php?pg=iamaprof, and follow them. As the Logo FAQ states, if these are not completed correctly, your request will simply be deleted and you will have to reapply.

The reason for us asking you to do the form correctly, is to make sure only members that are actual Professors get the logo on their account, the Names / Test date is what the PGL Staff use to verify your status.

Nice comment EL! And, if you notice, in the PM that denies your application, there is a link to the requirement pages so you know how to reapply properly.

Also, the staff can't see your 'real name' but my SQL script runs every day to check that you have it filled out and a valid prof test date. If not, it bounces you back out of the group. So, you may be approved today, but if you forgot to put your real name in your profile, you'll be kicked out the next day.
 
I have a question. Do professors need to be kicked before rejoining under the new stipulations?

Because I have yet to be kicked, and I still have my Logo. All I did was enter in my Real Name into the form, and hit save.

Was that all that was required for Professors who want to be renewed under the new format? (other than the Prof Test date)

Well, from what I was thinking they did. However, if you did not get kicked and all you did was add your name, then I would say you are fine.

That was the requirement anyway, to have your real name / most recent test date anyway. I know I had redone my info in much the same way, and I did not have to reapply for it.

Reminder to those that apply, read the FAQ for the proper steps required to get your logo.

For those that are in an area that there is no Professor Group Leader, we will have to contact you to send us a PM on the PUI Professor Forums or send us a screen shot of your Professor test date info.

We are approving requests as we get them, but we also have had to deny applications that were not submitted correctly.
