Protection Cube

Hello! I attended a Flashfire Pre-release today and received the card "Protection Cube" On the card it says "Prevent all damage done to the Pokemon this card is attached to by attacks it uses" Does this include damage done by confusion?

Confusion doesn't do any damage.
It places damage counters.
Not the same thing.
Placement of damage counters is not blocked.
