So we just got a PS3(loving it btw) and OBVIOUSLY the first game we got was Modern Warfare 2. I'm finding already that it can help to have a headset/microphone/whatever to communicate with the other players ingame. So what I need to know is basically this:

What are the popular/preferred headset brands/types, and where's the best place to buy/order? I hear Sony talk about their "bluetooth" headset for the PS3, but I'm looking for something that has good sound quality to other players, won't be uncomfortable, and obviously since I may be spending 40$+, I like to know what the best one is to buy. So can anyone help me out here? :biggrin:
 
i use the bluetooth one sony puts out and it works fine but you can get away with using any type i just got that one cause i had a gift card modern warfare is a great game here is my gammer tag if you want to play sometime just put in the invite box pokegym

I have the video/ mic and I love it for mw2.

I play so much that I knew I didn't want a head set on all the time so I oppted for the mic/video.

Though many people like Blue-tooth I like using a wired USB headset. The main reason is that you don't have to worry about the battery or interference.
 
Hmm okay thanks for your comments. It sounds like Blue-tooth is good, even if it has charging problems. I'll probably go with that just because the PS3 will be a little far from where I'm sitting to have a plugged in headset. Thanks again everyone. PSN is Timothypwnzu if you guys wanna play.
 
I think they make USB extenders. Yeah if distance is in issue than Blue-tooth is the way to go. One way to know when the batteries are going is when people start commenting about a popping sound.
