Seriously. The ONLY reason 360 has a bigger and better library right now is because....THEY CAME OUT A YEAR BEFORE! And just because a system comes out first DOES NOT immediately make them the winner. And wii is not even next gen, all it is is a Game Cube with a 1 gig harddrive, motion sensing, and a controller that looks like a freaking TV remote, basically and essentially a Game Cube 2000, hence my nickname for it. Nintendo even admitted that they have no interest in the console war anymore, they don't care. They're doing their own thing.

didnt you try and make a point that every game other than 5% that the 360 has every other console has? now youre saying that it has a larger library. make up your mind please. that really bothers me that you say something like that then flip flop to the exact opposite.
and most people already know that wii won the war, i doesnt matter if nintendo says they dont care about it, sales show that theyve sold the most. and most accept it as the winner.


Ask any real unbiased technical expert who has actually looked at both 360 and PS3, and they will tell you PS3 has the most powerful hardware

And PS3 does NOT run that hot, that is an outright lie. It's fans are NOT that loud, that's also a lie. The system is so darn quiet you can barely even tell it's running, except when you hear the disc spinning around, which doesn't bother me any. I prefer it that way, cause it tells me it's working.

ill give you that, my friend has both and the 360 does sound like a lawn mower, while you can bearly hear the ps3, but it is still HUGE and takes up a fair amount of space. and its asemetrical to the max.

But I will tell you exactly what I tell everyone around here. 360 has mostly shooters and crap like that, whereas PS3's library is more diverse. Wii is more childish and just basically fun to play. If you're planning on buying one of them, choose the one with the game library that best matches your specific preferences. If you like the game libraries on all 3 systems, get all 3 if you can happen to afford them (much less find them in the case of the Wii) Why listen to others' opinions when the only person whose opinion really matters is you? The only time I listen to others' opinions personally is when I'm trying to decide on which product would last the longest and have the fewest problems.

yes it much more diverse, when it comes to lame games. funny how (like tagrineth said) the only truely good game for the ps3 is "on of those crap shooters".
but i do agree with you on the rest of your statement.
 
oh manz lolz if you wanna go pro ps3 its really hard. You can say well they have the best processor which they do in a sense, you can agrue memory but ps3 is superior (not by that much though). Problem is gonna be companies investing big cash on it to develop these games to ps3 max. Most of the games wont ever hit the ps3 max which makes the difference between the ps3 and 360 a pointless agreement.

The 360 was released a year later but the fact that the ps3 has yet to come out with a triple A game is disturbing almost. That extra year gave the 360 a more diverse library. You will hear a lot of people (including myself) that will say that the 360 is just full of fps. Which i think everyone will agree with, but when you compare the ps3 with the 360, since the ps3 best games are just B leveled games, people can just bring up ALL the B level games the 360 has. Ya kno the 8.0 and 8.2 etc. Just above average games teh 360 is full of, if you want to talk diverse the 360 has it beat BUT thats cause of the extra year, its suppose to have a much more diverse library

I think Tagrineth hit it in the head, ps3 is losing too much of its exclusives it once had :confused:
If GTA 4 was just for the ps3, this wouldnt even be an issue and half of the people agruing about the ps3 sucking would have one including myself who plan to buy one once MGS or FF comes out (*** is up with the release dates!!!)

Graphics dont matter no more, i think when the original xbox came out we basically hit the point in which its about gameplay, all the games will look great. Wii is the weakest of the 3 systems yet the most funnest so they are dominating the sales. Yup nintendo said they arent worried about the race, and they probably shouldnt they are attracting the mainstream crowd now and growing money :lol:

This was all done in 5 mins >.> What happened this year was the exclusives that got a lot of hype and were suppose to help the ps3 big time flopped big time *cough heavenly sword, lair COUGH* god that game suxed....my cousin has all 3 systems, hasnt played the 360 since heavenly >.> The ps3 is hella quiet i never heard of it being loud probably some sony haters >.> damn 360 fanboys >.< But Final Fantasy and Metal Gear should be amazing, we will see how they do and if they can save the system

BTW the wii hasnt won any war yet, probably going to win though
 
I have all 3 units. Ps3 is a solid machine. (360 and wii beat the bejesus out of it but to each his own) Biggest problem with the unit is its too expensive for what they give ya. The only reason I got one is because I only had to play $160 out of my pocket.

If you can't wait for a more diverse selection of games got for it but I suggest either getting the 80 gig or pick up a used one. Most gamestops carry multiple types of units. It will save ya a fair amount of cash to go used. For the love of god though stay far far away from the $400 unit its a waste of money!

Without the ability to play ps2 games you can count the number of worth while games on 1 hand.

Here are the games I recommend that are exclusive to Ps3. Keep in mind most are $60 and last 5-15 hours.

Heavenly sword
Ratchet and clank
Uncharted
Resistence: Fall of man
Folklore

If someone tells ya Motorstorm is good, don't listen that game is garbage!
 
Wow, this thread is really going places. Anyways, if you do end up getting a PS3 I would tell you to look and see if you can find the 60GB model. Probable going to have to buy it off of someplace like ebay but it's the best model out of all of the PS3 models. Oh and Dark Legendary Master, all three systems have strong points and you totally have missed the point of the Wii, but then again, it sounds like you’re a Sony fanboy.
 
A friend of mine won a PS3 and sold it to me for cheap. At first I was like "=/ PS3... I guess I can play MGS4 when it comes out...". I got Uncharted for it and I have been converted.

I have all three current gen systems and I rate them like this:
1) 360
2) PS3
3) Wii
 
Rumors are getting really strong for MGS4 being on the 360 now. Even certain websites got a bit of a leak saying its going to be multi system to make up for the cost of making the game itself and so forth. Uncharted aint that good i played it in brooklyn and i was like eh. Neither is halo 3 to be honest >.>
 
If MGS4 comes multiplat, then we can officially call the PS3 dead. Not even the vaunted Final Fantasy series could possibly save the console. The only thing that will save the thing is a MASSIVE price drop (to Wii levels), and some sort of Killer App that comes from nowhere. A system can't be made on only one Killer App exclusive (though the original Xbox came close).

Completely agree with you. Hey hey hey lol the xbox did have some other great games besides halo, kotor series, ninja gaiden, **** as bad as their library is its ten times betta then what the ps3 may eva dish out XD Yea i was going to buy a ps3 just cause MGS4 AND FF13 were going to be out. Now that MGS is coming out for my 360, im not dishing out 500 buxs just for Final Fantasy 13 >.> Sad how bad sony has become
 
And I've heard rumors that FF13 is sort of going to be multiplat. The rumor that I've heard is that Square is planning 4 different versions of the game, one for each of the "big 4" consoles (PS3, Xbox, Wii, DS). Each version tells a different part of the story. I'm not sure if they're concurrent or timeline, but that looks to be yet another nail in the PS3's coffin.

The MGS4 one was said in some major legit sites, more like a statement then rumor that one was. The FF13 one i believe to be much more a rumor then anything else. From what i keep hearing the whole game is based around the cell processor and that it would have to be completely redone for it to be ported to the other systems. Still if that rumor is true, if we ever see ff13 and mgs4 go to xbox, ps3 is dead......utterly and completely destroyed
 
Notice the "sorta" in that rumor. According to the rumor I've heard, FF13 will be 4 seperate games, one for each DS, Wii, Xbox, and PS3. Each game contributes in some way to the storyline. I'm not sure if each game is a sequal to another, or if the games run concurrently in the same time frame, but that piece of information is out there.

It's not exactly multiplatform. But, the rumor states that there will be numbered FF13 games on 4 different systems.
