Information I Feel Is Necessary To Inform Others Of:
First of all, I want to point out the similarities between the PTCGO and playing IRL- this is to simply state my case as to why I felt a thread like this was needed.
*PTCGO currently is free to download and try, but is pay to play just like IRL in the form of code cards.
*Booster packs are a form of currency on PTCGO right now, and as such you either pay money to buy them alone, or you pay to buy real cards and a code card for online. Either way, you pay to play.
*You can only trade once you have invested real money in the Pokemon Trading Card Game some way, shape, or form. As in real life.
*Eventually, we will be able to use money to purchase packs and cards DIRECTLY on the PTCGO client, adding further monetary investment into the game itself.
Mission Statement Prologue:
For about the last 2 months, I have noticed, disgustingly so- a HUGE rise in scammers on the public trades I see posted. Pretty much every other trade posted is a scam.
Every card has a value, IRL and online, and there has been a large influx of players online that feel that its ok to take little Johny's Deoxys EX FA for the equivalent of 2 packs($8/$0.80). Now, I know that a lot of people have the mindset of "Well, if little Johny doesnt know better, then its his problem."
THIS IS THE WRONG WAY TO THINK! How many of you out there would allow an 16 y.o to walk up to a little 8 year old at league and buy his Deoxys EX for $8? Or trade him an Arcanine NXD for it?
I hope the community answers with a unanimous "NEVER!"
This list is to serve as a warning to newcomers, or players that are veteran to IRL play and are just starting out on PTCGO- in regards to whom to avoid trading with when it comes to the public trade boards, as well as individuals.
There will be two separate lists here, PUBLIC, and PRIVATE. Obviously, public scammers are the most common offenders found on the PTCGO, as most people online will tell them off when trying to trade in a chat lobby.
A little information will be needed by anyone who wishes to contribute to this-
I will need the following:
Name of Player on PTCGO
Trade Offer?
Public or Private Trade?
And any other information such as attitude or demeanor will also be acceptable.

I am only posting this on here, as sort of a last resort- to combat the terrible people that would try to scam others out of their hard earned or bought code cards/booster packs/cards.
