Difference between pack weights are one .2g or so. There is actually some consistency, especially between holo's and regular packs. Ex's are also scalable, but more scary. I'm willing to bet he got gipped. I've seen weight data from entire packs and ACE Specs are hard to separate from regular packs, which is why he got them.
 
But that's exactly it. I had some packs that weighed 14.9 grams and others that were 15.1. I thought FOR SURE that the heavier packs had something good in them.

What's good? EXs or holos? All you can really mostly guarantee is holo+ using a 0.01g or better scale.

i.e. Ultra Rares, EX's, Secret Rares, Full Arts.

Using a kitchen scale isn't going to do it. It would have to be .01g or better. You are correct.

However, the full arts that I did pull weighed less than packs containing the reg 9 + 1 Holo. Not sure why the weight discrepancy.

Note: I weighed each sealed pack, recorded the weight, and what I pulled. the scale is digital. Yes, I am a nerd. :^P
 
Bought 5 more packs from the same Box that I got my 14 packs from 2 weeks ago. Pulled Full Art Bianca, Keldeo EX, and White Kyurem EX. I also bought 3 packs from the mall, and pulled Celebi EX FA, and Playable Keldeo. Bought 3 more today and only got a Scizor. From 25 packs of this set I have pulled.

I also got a strange pack that was opened inside a sealed box. The pack had a blank code card, and a Watchhog card that was crimped across the top, like it got in the way when they tried to seal the pack.

I'm satisfied with it, I guess this is about average for this set.

Same. I found some full arts weighed less than regular holographics. Ace spec seemed to weigh just above normal packs too.

The best you can do I think is to weigh all the packs, separate the ones that are heavier than the average, then open the rest at random.

I think the average of ultra rares in BC is 5-6 per box, with a total of 12 holographics per box (rare + ultra rare). So if you can pull 5 ish EX's or other ultra rares, chances are that the rest will be regular.

I know a YouTuber cracked a code for Dark Explorers. Based on his data from opening the first two boxes of a case of 6, he was able to pull all EX's from the rest of the case with almost 100% accuracy.

Then with Dragons Exalted there was no pattern, it was quite erratic. BC doesn't seem to have a pattern either.
 
So whats the typical pull of certain cards, is it very random? How many regular holos do you usually see in a box verses EX's and full arts?
 
Ace Specs replace the reverse holo in a pack. It probably isn't accurate to include them toward the count of 12 holo/EX/FA EX cards per box on average.
 
I just bought 2 Blister.. (last in stock at my place).. to my dismay

all the booster pack.. can't be open nicely.. (very low quality packaging.. 2 of them.. have a ripped hole at the middle sealing area...the content

This set has some weird distribution.

Got a half box today, and I watched the box be opened so I KNOW it was an actual side of a box. My sister and I split the opening, so she took the first 9 packs and I took the second 9 packs. I got... a reverse Flygon and a bunch of trash rares.

She....

opened up a Gold Potion first.

Then something eh. (Nonholo, don't remember what)

Then a Keldeo EX.

Then a Computer Search.

Then a shiny Altaria.

These packs were in order. What would have been the first five packs of the box (Left hand first 5) had 4 ultra/secret rares. Three in a row! Now, her other 4 packs had nothing, but still.

At the same event, one of our players who got first opened his half box. Out of an entire half a box, he got... a Crystal Wall and a Ditto. No other UR/SR. He was crestfallen. 18 packs and not a single EX.

I'm really not sure I like this. I mean, it's great for the person who gets 4 shiny cards out of 5 packs, but if it means someone else gets 16 packs with no 'worthwhile' cards in them, I don't think it's worth it.

Some people just get lucky and some don't plus they only opened up half a box. :/

Also they just put the packs in a random order in the box so maybe the other person just opened up the badside of the box...
 
Got my first "official" booster box today :smile: These were the ultra rares I got.

Cresselia EX FA (I got this in my last pack. The pack before I was upset because I thought I wouldn't get a Pokemon-EX and when I opened the pack I didn't see it and I was like dang it but then a was happy)

I'm slightly satisfied because I really wanted Keldeo FA but pull rates seem 'ehh' compared to others.
