My friend just opened his booster box... did anyone lose a deoxys?

23 Packs today:

Deoxys EX (First regular art one out of 6+ boxes)

Mediocre at best in my mind - decent pulls from the first box, but low quantity from both and, well, pretty bad pulls in the second.

Got four packs at the local store I go to for league.

One had a Latios Ex (normal kind).
Others had this stuff:

Nidoking
Exeggutor
Bisharp (Dragon Slayer version)

Foils:
Eevee (Signs of Evolution)
Chinchou
Lanturn
Primeape
 
Bought 5 packs yesterday and 6 today. A Meijer.

Felt around and thought I grabbed some nice heavy packs compared to others.


Pulled garbage.

2 Kyurem, a Weavile, and a Float Stone.

What a horrible waste of money. Half the packs didn't even have a holo. Just constant cards like Nidoqueen and Hariyama, etc.


Don't feel like buying packs again..just depressing and I constantly get the worst luck, also, while literally everyone around me in drafts will pull EXs, etc.

I anyone is in a draft with me. Or wants to buy packs, stand next to me, you'll pull gold.

Can't really feel for the weight of packs when they are in the cardboard. The best way to buy them at stores is to get them all from the same hanger and together. Bought 6 at Target a few days ago, pulled FA Juniper.
 
If I ever buy again ill take that advice.

I guess adding the weight of the cardboard into it is impossible to do by hand, as we are discussing grams.

I've just always had bad luck..so I feel like anything I do won't matter, but I'll see.



Do any of you believe buying from a card store is a good idea? Single packs that they sell from a box? Orrrrrr no.

Depends on if you trust the owner. Sometimes, it's best when a group is buying packs at the same time to see what they pull first. Also, if the owner just opens a fresh box, then its also safe to buy. Ones that sit for awhile tho, they might have been searched.

Even though the odds of buying from a box (if unsearched) at a card store may result in an EX, with this set, you're most likely going to get garbage. Seems the blisters for me always result in a value card or bust.

I agree. I have terrible luck with blisters and loose packs and I always have a hunch that they have been searched.... Whenever they just get restocked I get good stuff but other than that It's usually terrible for me :p I usually just end up getting a box because of the guaranteed decent pulls and I know it's random. Plus I usually spend the same amount either way so I would rather have the guarentee.
 
Idk. I feel as though this set has the most value in its set. Every pack has a card/s that can be used or has some decent return value.

I disagree completely. This set only has 6 cards that are really worth buying a box for, and with the pull rates being all over the place you aren't likely to get more than 1 of the 6. Some of the trainers are useful, and Kyurem and Absol are playable, but you can't even be sure you will get any of those either.

If you asked me two months ago I would have said that Boundaries Crossed or Dark Explorers was the best value, but now with all the EX's dropping in value I don't know.
 
Heatran the the doom-bringer

So I think if you pull a heatran ex first or second you need to sell the rest of the packs because they won't have anything or atleast that seems to be the pattern:nonono:
