Pull rates for Plasma Freeze?

Just bought five packs at target:
Thundurus FA and Dragonite Rare holo. Can't complain. :D

3 of us opened a case last night and got the following;

pull rates per box were pretty inconsistent but pull rates per case was pretty spot on. We predicted the contents of box 6 pretty accurately after opening the first 5 boxes. (Though the Latias EX FA was a bit of a surprise, was expecting a heatran EX)
 
Anyone who pulls Thundurus or Deoxys in any aspect = auto win. (as long as you dont spend ridiculous amounts towards packs/boxes to get those cards)

That's where the money is. the prices are just crazy right now for those two.


Anyone else notice the really poor pull rates on the online game? tcgo? every expansion before i was pulling EXs left and right.. so far.. 56 packs, only 2 EXs..
 
I'm not sure whether I'm happy with my box or not:

1x Absol
1x Ghetsis

Only 3 Ultra Rares (which is stupid, that shouldn't happen), but they were very good ones (sans the Rock Guard, would have preferred almost any other card, the Ace Specs in this set are lame).

I do know one thing for sure, though; I will not be buying another box until they makes pull rates more consistent. A 1 card variance is fine, but when I get 3 less Ultra Rares than the "average" box, that's stupid.

You know a box is bad when all you can post about includes an Absol and a NFA Ghetsis. lol.

Luckily for you, Deoxys FA runs like $45+ and Thundurs is $30+ for sure.

I feel like boxes should be the best odds possible, and should include a lot of the top cards in the release, as boxes are what a lot of shops use to sell cards individually.

So basically, if that box was in a card shop, there would be 0% chance to get soooooooooooooo many EXs and Ace Specs.

Huge letdown.


Yet someone can buy two random packs at Target hanging on a clip and pull 2 FAs.
 
My box had Heatran EX regular, Latias EX regular, Life Dew and Juniper FA. Thank you Aurea Juniper for saving that box singlehandedly. >_<
 
I opened two boxes last night:
Box 1)
deoxys ex
thundurus ex fa
latios ex fa
heatran ex
1 absol
0 kyurem

box 2)
life dew
rock guard
Latias ex
heatran ex
tornadus ex
latios ex fa
1 absol
0 kyurem

Average pulls the second box was better in terms of quantity but the first was better in terms of playability.

And just a side note: opened all 72 packs online: even worse.

Pokemon really are making their box damn random these day.. the price of certain card rakes so high due to this..especially one of the shiy trainer (online)

My box had Tornadus Right side, 6th pack. Latias EX first pack on the left. Same (ish) distance, but the Life Dew is throwing off what I thought could be plausible as determining print run/what is in each box...

Ghetsis FA and Juniper FA make you break even on the box. Getting 2 FA is a great box. (unless its Lati@s, tornadus, heatran)
 
My second box was much less kind to me, but still not the worst box I have ever opened.

If a box doesn't have a Thundurus or Deoxys. I won't be happy.

Still plan on buying a box sometime. Hopefully this weekend depending on paycheck.

I'd say prepare for disappointment, then. I've barely seen any Deoxys, and I'm guessing that's going to be one of my "search and rescue" cards (when I finally give up buying packs for a set and finally just trade for/buy the remaining cards I need)
