ugh I see there going overboard with pokemon SP =_=
and oh look Cyrus with a charizard, where did he suddenly get that ? XD
meh, nice artwork...cant say im looking forward to it though.
and another garchomp lvX. wheres Gengar LvX already :frown:

I like how Electivire X has Leafeon's attack for (L)(C)(C).
Q: Does anyone think SW Electivire could make a comeback here? Yes, I know it's not SP.
Q#2: Can you play [3-1] "normal" Electivire and [2-2] SP Electivire?? Or just 4 Electivire total?

Btw what does "SP" stand for anyway? I was kinda disappointed to see Charizard become an SP Pokemon which means that it has to level-up from it's regular Stage 2 SP Charizard. I'm kinda starting to see why some people don't like SP Pokemon, especially since you can't have a regular Pokemon evolve or level-up into it's SP version.

SP means that is a basic Pokemon, beaning that you don't have to play the Charmander and Charmeleons to evolve Charizard.

Before anyone says that Electivire FB Lv.X is horrible, please read the following:
Attaching 3 Upper Energy and using Powerful Spark for 30+20+20+20+10=100 minimum damage is good.
Example: T-1: Let them K.O something of little importance, i.e. Magikarp or Sableye. Get basics w/Call Energy.
T-2: Use Electivire FB's attack and Felicity's Drawing.
T-3: Level up, attach something and attack with Electivire Lv.X for a solid 110 that lasts until they can recover enough to do 120 damage to Electivire.

If anyone knows the answer to my second question, I'd appreciate the enlightenment.

for your second question, yes you can. SPs are very similar to Delta Species in terms of naming. You can have 4 Electivire in your deck, and 4 Electivire FB in your deck.

Hi, my name is electivire FB LV X.

I can retrieve 3 special metal energy and attach them to your dialga G LV X.

Want me to?

Okay.

GG.

If you prevent all effects of the power with Power Spray, the "ending turn" effect won't be (for lack of a better word) activated.
The power counts as being use. Since you used the power and the power says your turn ends if you use it, your turn is over. :/

I figure anything that happens as a result of using a power would count as an effect of the power. I tried looking it up in the Compendium under Alakazam's power but I didn't find anything that is similar in the 3 examples. I guess I'll double check when Platinum is officially released.

Q. Say my opponent has two Gardevoirs in play and one of them uses its "Telepass" Poke-POWER, but I block it with my Alakazam's "Power Cancel" Poke-POWER. Can the opponent then use the "Telepass" from their other Gardevoir in this case?
A. The first Telepass counts as having been used. You cannot use a second Telepass on the same turn. (Apr 10, 2008 PUI Rules Team)

Based on this, all negatives are taken into account when cancelling a power. I'm sure there will be a question with ludi and power cancell/power spray, but I think it'll be ruled like this.

Looking at the wording of the two powers, I would rule that Vire's turn ends. I'll quote and add emphasis where needed.

Telepass said:
Telepass - Once during your turn (before your attack), you may search your opponent's discard pile for a Supporter card and use the effect of that card as the effect of this power. (The Supporter card remains in your opponent's discard pile.) You can't use more than 1 Telepass Poke-Power each turn. The power can't be used in Gardevoir is affected by a Special Condition. (Poke-POWER)

Energy Recycle said:
You can use this Power once during your turn; if you do (use this Power), your turn ends. Choose up to 3 Energy cards from your discard pile and attach them to your Pokemon in any way you like. This Power can’t be used if this Pokemon is affected by a Special Condition.

Power Cancel said:
Power Cancel - You can use this power once during your opponent's turn, when 1 of your opponent's Pokemon uses a Poke-Power. Discard 2 cards from your hand, and that power does nothing (it still counts as being used). This power can't be used if Alakazam is affected by a Special Condition. (Poke-POWER)

Based on those three quotes, Vire's Power counts as being used. Since it has been "used", your turn ends. Of course, with translations, we're not exactly sure on what the wording is. Just changing where that phrase is within Vire's Power, you can completely change its meaning.

Fair enough, very good points. For the moment, I stand corrected.

Looks like Beefylutions could be a good deck now, Vire and Leafy both energy accels?? you drop two with Forcing then get 3 and end your turn?? Yea its a splash deck, then Base Vire draws into your setup and is a basic, ugh this will be nice when we get it.

For 3 Energy. There are better snipers out there than that, even with the coolness of weakness being added in. But then there are the pokemon that resist you that now take less snipe, too.
