There was a no rares tournament at Texas States, in which I ran Trubbish/Lunatone/Eel. I went 4-2, I believe; since then, I've always seen Trubbish as an actual attacker that may one day see an opportunity to shine. Well, I think I may have found its partners.

The Deck:

4 Trubbish (Tool Drop, 70 HP)
4 Sigilyph (August's set)
2 Surskit (August's set)
2 Masquerain (August's set)

= 12 Pokemon

4 Level Ball
1 Master Ball (August's set) Or a life dew
4 Exp Share
4 Giant Cape
4 Eviolite
4 Silver Mirror (August's set)
4 Float Stone
1 Super Rod
4 Juniper
4 N
2 Bianca
2 Colress (or perhaps Random Receiver?)

= 38 Items/Supporters

10 Psychic :psychic:

= 10 Energy

Deck's Idea:
Trubbish's attack does 20 damage times the amount of tools on the field; Sigilyph grants 3 bonus tools on your side of the field per Sigilyph; Masquerain lets you move those tools as you see fit, so that exp share can turn into a silver mirror, etc.

Now, this is the first draft of the list. I feel I may have too many tools, and there are no catchers or switch yet. I also think that 11 energy is the magic number in most decks, so I want to add another.

Deck's downfalls so far:
This deck has a hard time getting that first attack off, since it takes 2 manual energy attachments to a 70HP pokemon. However, exp share helps all the following attacks. The deck also has little draw power; it is incredibly hard to get the pokemon, tools, and energy needed to OHKO an EX pokemon early game--or even late game.

Translations:

Surskit – Grass – HP50
Basic Pokemon

[G] Sweet Scent: Heal 20 damage from one of your Pokemon.

Weakness: Fire (x2)
Resistance: none
Retreat: 1

Masquerain – Grass – HP80
Stage 1 (Team Plasma) – Evolves from Surskit

Ability: Reversing Tool
Any number of times during your turn (before your attack), you may return a Pokemon Tool card attached to one of your Pokemon to your hand.
[C][C][C] Bug Bite: 60 damage.

Weakness: Fire (x2)
Resistance: none
Retreat: 1

Sigilyph – Psychic – HP90
Basic Pokemon

Ability: Item Box
This Pokemon can have up to 4 Pokemon Tools attached to it. (If this Ability is negated, discard Pokemon Tools until there’s one left.)

[P][C][C] Cutting Wind: 70 damage.

Weakness: Lightning (x2)
Resistance: Fighting (-20)
Retreat: 1

Silver Mirror – Trainer
Item

Pokemon Tool: Attach a Pokemon Tool to 1 of your Pokemon that doesn’t already have a Pokemon Tool attached to it.

If the Pokemon this Tool is attached to is not a Pokemon-EX, it is unaffected by damage and effects from Team Plasma Pokemon.

You may play as many Item cards as you like during your turn (before your attack).

Master Ball – Trainer
Item

Search your deck for a Pokemon card, reveal it, and put it into your hand. Shuffle your deck afterwards.

ACE SPEC: You can’t have more than 1 ACE SPEC card in your deck.

You can use any number of Item cards during your turn.

Credit for the translations go to pokebeach.com and its employees/volunteers.

P.S. I also found a card called Elesa that is a supporter that grants you 3 tool cards from the deck. However I have no idea if/when we'd get that card.

its interesting, as trubbish attack normally tops out at 6 (120 dam) unless your opponent has some out this would max you at 18 (360 dam), realistically you only need 5-9 to ko most poke.

you might want to consider sableye and revive to get tools and trubbish back. you mentioned slow starts might want to consider 2-3 plasma badge/colress machine to speed it up, then move the badge elsewhere with masquerain

Fit in 4 Bikes and use Life Dew. You can essentially run through your deck since your tools will be attached once you get it into your hand onto Sigilyph. Bike will allow you to run through your deck faster and hit faster. Life Dew just to prevent prize taking.

I'd also suggest taking out Super Rod. What are you intending to recover since you run 4 of everything anyways?

So, here is the plasma badge version:

The Deck #2:

4 Trubbish (Tool Drop, 70 HP)
4 Sigilyph (August's set)
2 Surskit (August's set)
2 Masquerain (August's set)

= 12 Pokemon

4 Level Ball
1 Master Ball (August's set) Or a life dew
3 Exp Share
1 Giant Cape
3 Eviolite
4 Plasma Badge
3 Silver Mirror (August's set)
4 Float Stone
1 Super Rod
4 Juniper
4 N
2 Bianca
4 Colress Machine

= 38 Items/Supporters

6 Psychic :psychic:
4 Plasma Energy

= 10 Energy

How would you suggest the bicycle version? And also, I like super rod, just in case I do need to attack with 6 Trubbish, or a Masquerain is prized and 1 got knocked out.

So your deck can play down your hand REALLY fast unless your stuck with 5 supporters in your hand. You can play down as many tools as you want as long as you have Sigilyph in play. In doing so, you run your hand low and can play bicycle. There are no major adjustments in your deck. It's hard to explain without having the cards in front of you but just try it. Take out the Plasma Badge and Plasma energy.

With this deck, your probably only going to go one turn of passing and thats the first turn to attach. After tha, you have EXP share which helps you retain your previous attachments.

If you decide to play bicycle you could consider taking out an N or two. In the deck bicycle is better than N since you will practically always have a low hand size when N doesent work so well with low hand sizes late game. I also prefer life dew over master ball since you have four level balls as your pokemon search and four is enough, and life dew adds another tool in the deck.

I agree on taking out the plasma aspect of the deck because it lowers consistency alot and can be replaced by more usefull cards like catchers and switches. If setting up quickly is a big problem you may want to consider 'ether dex' to speed up energy attachments on T1 to T3. For late game you have EXP share so it won't really be needed late game.

I'd try one Mr. Mime to block bench damage to Sigilyph

Im going to try this deck out when the cards come out and I trade

Mime isn't really needed as you should be running 4 Eviolite, which can negate most if not all bench damage thrown at it. I'm a huge advocate of the Bike variant, it is such a ridiculous turbo deck that lets you explode in turns 1 to 3 and aims to end the game very quickly. I wouldn't really reccommend Life Dew or Rock Guard as some others have been using. Decks should not be able to take six prizes against you before you run over them with giant attacks from Trubbish, so Life Dew doesn't really help. Rock Guard obviously isn't very helpful as all of your attacks should be one shots. I would strongly reccommend running CPU Search or Dowsing Machine as your ACE SPEC in order to boost your consistency and get to the last tool or energy you may need for the deck to get attacking early on.

Ah, I totally missed the effects part and was thinking only damage. Thanks!

I'm actually going to build this this weekend lol. Will surprise the entire league I'm sure.

The only downside is that people will probably be running more Tool Scrapper than before (especially plasma), and they'll definitely be targeting the Sigis loaded with tools. At least if it has cape and eviolite it won't be easy to take down.

Hmm. if you have multiple Bangles attached, does each do an additional +30?

Good thing this deck runs like 14 tools lol

Laser and big basics kill this deck hard

Gotta find a solution.

I've played against a variation of this and man does it hurt.

From what I noticed the biggest problem for the deck is the energy, so max out EXP Share. The version I played against also had Rocky Helmets which is really painful for your opponent if you ever have to sacrifice a Sigi.

This is going to sound hilarious - but the only deck of mine that can very easily destroy this deck is Flygon XD

All I need to do is get max of 2 Flygons in play with a Dusknoir and it's game. They usually have 4 Sigis in play with room for only 2 Trubbishes, and Flygon in between turns puts 6 counters on the board. Move all of them to the trubbish and just pass and it gets KO'ed. If their other Trubbish had energy and takes out your Flygon, just put up the next and it will likely take care of itself as well. This is even more foolproof if I just have 1 Chandelure.

Yes, I did build a Flygon deck, and yes, it pwns(ish)

well a potential answer for Laser is using grass energy (and blend?) with Virizion EX.

as for big basics, that's tough....if its heavy in special energy then Enhanced Hammers would help....
