Question about Zoroark's Foul Play

If I have a Zoroark and I use Foul Play on a Pokemon like Steelix Prime's first attack Energy Stream which reads:

"Search your discard pile for an Energy Card and attach it to Steelix."

Would this mean I could attach an energy to Zoroark because new cards read "to this Pokemon," or are older cards unaffected? Just curious as a kid I was playing asked me and I didn't know.

They only started using the text "this Pokemon" with this set.
Older sets that use them name of the Pokemon in self referencing attacks have that name replaced with "this Pokemon" when the attack is copied.

So you get to use the effect.
