1. As the card is printed, Toxic Gas will work.
2. Rules that have been announced are all in effect so yes, you can use Rare Candy on turn one and the first player cannot use a supporter on their first turn.
3. If you go second, you can play a supporter on your first turn. Only the player going first is restricted from playing a supporter, just as only they can't draw a card on the first turn.

But the errata would be for the HP, not "Poke-Power" vs. "Pokemon Power" right? So the result would not affect Muk anyway.

True. While something that blocked Pokemon Powers (such as Goop Gas Attack) would affect both Poke-Powers and Poke-Bodies, something that affects only Poke-Powers will not affect an older card that has a Pokemon Power.

I've gone through and here are the ONLY cards that I believe are affected by Mt. Moon.

Azurill (SS)
Beldum (HL)
Castrform (HL)
Ditto (FRLG)
Elekid (HL)
Lunatone (SS)
Minun (DR)
Pichu (SS)
Rain Castform (HL)
Slowbro (FRLG)
Solrock (SS)
Wynaut (SS)

It seems to me like only the Beldum, Wynaut (maybe), and Slowbro (seems to be getting some interest) are the only cards that are likely to be a concern.

Errata'ing the card to include 70 HP Pokemon will add the following cards to the affected list...

Delcatty (RS) (ouch)
Haunter (FRLG) (bummer! I can't put myself to sleep anymore!)
Magneton (DR)
Ninjask (DR)
Snow-Cloud Castform (HL)
Sunny Castform (HL)
Swellow (RS)
Team Aqua's Manectric (TATM) (ouch)
Xatu (SS)
Zangoose (SS)

I think that's it.

ok heres my theory

poke-power + poke-body = pokemon powers

since mt moon stop poke-power but didnt stop the body as well then "pokemon power" still works

And I'll take that one step further.

If the power said that it stops Poke-Powers and Poke-Bodies, it STILL would not shut down Pokemon Powers (like Toxic Gas).

While Poke-Powers and Poke-Bodies are subsets of Pokemon Powers, Pokemon Powers are greater than the sum of Poke-Bodies and Poke-Powers.

Hmm. Did we get a ruling on that one?
Not sure about that....

If there hasn't been a ruling I'd like to see one. If unlimited is to be saved that is. BTW Dave I think your list is complete but I'd like to point out that it is Modified only, just to let anyone know because this thread was started talking about unlim.

i thought poke-power was just abriviated like prof. oak.i didn't think there was a difference.i don't think there should be.

There is certainly a difference. Firstly, Pokemon Power includes both poke-power and poke-body, so you can't treat either poke-power or poke-body to be the same as Pokemon Power.

what if one thing shuts off all bodies and another thing shuts off all powers... would that shut off Pokemon Powers? It wouldn't, right?

I'm surprised by that ruling, but if that's what it is, then that's what it is (and am pleasantly surprised that someone had the foresight to ask such a question!)

And you're right dld4a, I just addressed the newer cards. The cards that I did NOT address are only the Expedition, Aquapolis, and Skyridge (Poke-Powers did not exist prior to that). I may try to pull together a list that includes those as well (I can do it for Aquapolis and Skyridge, but not Expedition - I need to fix that set in my database to include the identification of Powers vs. Bodies).
