I thought we only went to Chicago for their Sandstorm Prerelease...

And actually, now looking at the rankings, only 4 of the 8 Sanctioned tournaments I've gone to are on my list! The 8 I've been to are:
Sandstorm - Niles, IL
Dragon - Madison, WI
Dragon - Manitowoc, WI
CC - Brookfield, WI
CC - La Crosse, WI
CC - Manitowoc, WI
Aqua/Magma - Niles, IL
Aqua/Magma - Manitowoc, WI

The only ones that are listed on mine are:
Dragon - Madison, WI
CC - Brookfield, WI
CC - La Crosse, WI
CC - Manitowoc, WI

I understand the two Magma/Aqua prereleases not being on there yet, but why aren't the other 2 on there? My ranking would jump up tremendously if they were given on there!

None of the Niles Prereleases so far have been sanctioned. I know they should have been, and I have no clue why they weren't, our TO down here doesn't seem to want to sanction anything. :(

There are some funny things in there.

The results in one of the CCs I was in shows me playing Person X, but I know for a fact that I played Person Y.

Strange.

As I understand it, the correct way to inquire about missing tournament results is to email (...politely, please :) ) [email protected] with the subject line: "Attn: Tournament Report *sanctioning number*" OR location and date.

I'd guess there are going to be quite a few inquiries going to this address, so I'd advise people to be patient and not expect an immediate reply.

According to our distributors OP company they were told not to sanction Pre-releases by PUI! Now we think this is madness and we have in fact sanctioned our pre-releases but don't blame your TO if they followed PUI's instructions and didn't sanction :(

George Unknown? I mean, if the guy is going to knock me out of the prizes, he should at least have a last name.

Anyone had any experience with getting their information fixed (e.g. missing City or State, misspelling, or in George's case, his last name)? How did you do it, and how well did it go?

To the best of my knowledge, all Prerelease Tournaments beginning with EX: Dragon were input by PUI/POP as sanctioned events automatically. The TO may not have submitted results, however...

fwiw, here is the details page for the Sanctioned Niles IL Dragon Prerelease and here's another for the same Dragon Prerelease in Niles and here's the details page for the Niles IL TM vs TA Prerelease

all sanctioned, just not reported (so reflect a status of 'pending')...

[edit] - looks like it was since EX: Dragon, not Sandstorm...[/edit]

Well I asked our OP provider who bounced the question up the chain: The head of international OP was and is adamant that pre-releases were both unsanctioned and unsanctionable :(

I don't get it. I thought PUI/POP were all ex Wizards people. Its standard practice to have Magic pre-releases sanctioned.

Well, we have some 'unreported' City Championships (up North of us... but still might be reported) but our PTO has reported all his prerel and other events (SS, Dragon, tMvtA).

That would be really lame if prerel were unsanctionable int'l, but sanctionable US. I wonder if someone is 'saving some work' or 'covering lost standings'. I remember a lot of things out of sync US-Intl POP-WOTC, but this is really weak.

SAY, did anyone notice our own Perfect0ne really IS...he's #1 Globally in Modified format!!!

So, Mike (if you're reading this) - will I see you at Nationals in June??? :D

[edit]hmmm, somehow I goofed up - looks like that's only in limited format...[/edit]

I shake my head at Pokemon USA for allowing someone who habitually fails to submit timely results to remain a premier tournament organizer.

I would agree, for the comp package PTOs are given, there is no excuse for the results not to be inputed.

I have had 2 prereleases that I have had to now go back and manually enter the results by hand in, when they would not upload. Took me over an hour each, but I did it. I figure I owe that much to my players!

And anyone who knows me, knows I am just a little bit busy. Thanks

If you forgot your pop id where can you find it out again besides going to a tourny and asking.

Unless the TO who issued you your POP ID has kept a copy your only option is to contact POP.

That isn't quite true you can examine the tournament match details and get a good idea of your POP ID. However if you have lost your password then the POP ID is difficult to check.

Email OP

RANKINGS HAVE BEEN FIXED

Yeah I know I'm shouting but it is cause for celebration Yes?

I'll let the cynics work out just how the system has been 'fixed' :(
