Rare Candy question- n00b alert

If I play a basic down turn 1, can I then evolve it that same turn with rare candy and the stage 2 it comes from (I.E. T1 Machamp, Flygon, etc)? Or do I have to wait a turn to evolve it? Thanks for your help.

If you could normally play trainers and supporters that turn, yes.

Rare Candy and other types of evolving effects circumvent the normal rules of evolution, including the requirement to wait a turn.

If it is turn 1 and you are going first, then you can't, but if you go second, you can play rare candy along with other Trainers. You don't have to wait as Rare Candy bypasses any normal rules of evolution.

yes you can do that. Rare candy bypasses any normal effects on the game state.

Man, i need to answer these questions faster for the Guru points. Lol!

Yep. If you go second, you may play Rare Candy and evolve, say, your charamander to Charizard with rare candy (considering you have all those in your hand, of course!)

Spiritomb AR works the same way I assume? (with the exception being that it can be done T1 since it's an attack)

Indeed.

These kinds of attacks and stuff have been around for a long time, some like Rare Candy and Broken Time-Space see use because of the immense speed increase.
