OK, I am just curious (a little more than than holding an extra quarter-finalist, top 16 and my own staff card) as to what these cards have been getting. I will be putting all 3 of my "extras" on the market shortly, and would like to know.

I will update this list with prices, so all can see, hopefully this will help us all. I know that these are RARE, as many of them went back to Japan...

Promo #26 - Staff - EBAY SALE $229

Promo #26 - Top Sixteen

Promo #26 - Quarter-finalist

Promo #26 - Semi-finalist

Those are the major ones.

Thanks for the help.

For my 2nd place finalist card I have been offered 450 in cash plus another 200 or so in cards for it currently but I am still not sure if I want to take it. It is getting very tempting though. So far they seem to be worth alot of money.

there are only 12 made, 6 going to the japanese (which is nearly impossible to get), 2 to a 10- which i believe can not be contacted... so its only me and tyranitar, which is 4

IMO the finalist cards should sell for like, $6,000(I'm estimating :(), since that's about what Japanese promo winner cards sold for after huge tournaments

By "finalist cards" I'm assuming you mean the ones packaged in the trophies, if then, yeah, about that much. If your talking about the finalist stamped Tropical Wind then they'd be less, since a few more were printed (but it should fetch a pretty hefty price if someone is willing to shell out the big bucks).

So what happens next year if you sell the card? I thought it was your official invite to attend Worlds 2005?
No, the cards are worded in a way to indicate that they are not the invite, just a commemoration of it.

M45,

That auction just ended on one of these final prices so you can update it $229

My son's 2001 TMB English VS set (only about a dozen made) are worth mega bucks. I once asked Beckett to put a value on my son's set, but they refuse to value an very-limited cards. So, get as much as you can if you're selling your limited-printing Worlds promos. I'd recommend a high minimum-bid if you sell them on ebay.

Also, I remember a 2000 TMB promo (about 4-5 dozen given out) being sold on ebay for about $4000.

Regarding the Worlds trophy cards, I'd value those in the $10K range, making it more valueable than the scholarships and prizes given out to those players.

You all might be placing values on these cards, but honestly, if you sell ANYTHING, it is only worth as much as someone is willing to pay for it. If someone pays $2000 for a picture on cardboard....then they obviously have too much money on their hands.

=/

Yeah GR is totally right =/. But anyways, here's what I sold one of my Semi-Finalist promos for:

gyrados ex
2 fable ex
zard ex
zappy ex
3 amphy ex
snorlax holo ( frlg)
pidgeot ( frlg)
2 sealed boxes frlg
18 packs frlg
$145.00 US cash

W/e I don't care, I have another one, and I'm happy with this offer, and the guy seems cool.

Well if the semi-finalist card is stamped gold with TOP 4 I will pay $500 for it, I would love to have that one in my collection.

Seriously, some people like to buy cards for huge amounts of money. But I personally don't see a reason to buy something that probably won't be worth anything when your kids go to college or when you need money to buy your wife a ring or whatever. A card isn't worth anymore than how much people will pay for it, and I fear in the future, nobody will want a card from a game that hasn't been played in many years, rare or not.
