regigas lv x and mewtwo lv x

If a Regigas lv x attacks a Mewtwo lv x, would it be able to do damage to it. Regigas is a basic but I'm not sure on lv x's being considered evolved or not...so whats the ruling?

A Level X card is no Stage when not in play.
But when it is used to Level Up a Pokemon, that Pokemon keeps the same Stage and evolution status as the Pokemon it Leveled Up from.

So, in the case of Regigigas, it is still considered unevolved.
