The Pokémon VG Autumn Regional Championships is the first of three Regional Championships events. Held in cities across the U.S. in October, each VG Autumn Regional Championships gives players a chance to win a Nintendo 3DS and other great prizes! When and where are the Pokémon Autumn Regional Championships?

The Pokémon Autumn Regionals will be held on the weekends of October 12th–13th, 19th–20th, and 26th–27th, 2013. The VG Regionals will occur on Sunday, with registration in the early morning.

What games will be played?

The VG Autumn Regional Championships will be the final tournaments featuring Pokémon Black Version 2 and Pokémon White Version 2.
What are the rules?

How will a winner be determined?

All Pokémon VG Autumn Regional Championships will use the following methods to determine a champion:

  • Age Modified Swiss (single game) pairings
  • A cut to a Top 8 (attendance permitting) single elimination finals
    • Single elimination finals will be run as best 2 out of 3 games
Are there any requirements for attendance?

The Autumn Regional Championships do not require an invitation or qualification. All players in good standing are welcome to participate. Players must bring their own Nintendo DS system, copy of Pokémon Black Version 2 or Pokémon White Version 2, and charger.
What are the prizes?

Prizes are awarded to the top players in each of three age divisions.
All participants will receive 3 Play! Points and a Pokémon Regional Championships promo card (while supplies last), just for playing!
What about Travel Awards and Stipends?

Beginning in the 2014 season, U.S. VG National Championships Travel Awards and Travel Stipends will be awarded to the top VG performers in the season’s Championship Point rankings. Travel Awards and Travel Stipends will be awarded as follows, based on Championship Point rankings at the end of Spring Regionals.
U.S. National Championships Travel and Stipend Awards—based on total season Championship Points:

  • Ranked 1st–16th: Travel Award and a $300 Stipend
  • Ranked 17th–32nd: $700 Travel Stipend
  • Ranked 33rd–64th: $350 Travel Stipend
Each Autumn Regional Championships will have the following prizes for each age division:
1st Place

  • A Pokémon VG Regional Championships 1st Place award
  • A Nintendo 3DS system
  • A copy of Pokémon X or Pokémon Y
  • A combination of 72 booster packs from current Pokémon TCG expansions
  • 120 Championship Points
2nd Place

  • A Pokémon VG Regional Championships 2nd Place award
  • A copy of Pokémon X or Pokémon Y
  • A combination of 72 booster packs from current Pokémon TCG expansions
  • 110 Championship Points
3rd & 4th Place

  • A Pokémon VG Regional Championships 3rd or 4th Place award
  • A copy of Pokémon X or Pokémon Y
  • A combination of 36 booster packs from current Pokémon TCG expansions
  • 90 Championship Points
5th Place through 8th Place

  • A combination of 18 booster packs from current Pokémon TCG expansions
  • 70 Championship Points
9th Place through 16th Place

  • A combination of 9 booster packs from current Pokémon TCG expansions
  • 50 Championship Points
17th Place through 32nd Place

  • 30 Championship Points (if division attendance is 64 or greater)
33rd Place through 64th Place

  • 10 Championship Points (if division attendance is 128 or greater)
65th Place through 128th Place

  • 5 Championship Points (if division attendance is 256 or greater)

So I have a question is there going to be a Hotel/motel in California for out of town people that are giving special rates for the players ? I know during the Salem State championships there was a deal for out of town players and was just trying to find out if there was going to be something like that there.
