At the moment im trying to build reshiboar as its an easy deck to build and understand for beginers like me. So far i have 48 cards for the deck and and aiming to get it complete this saturday. Any changes/fixes would be appreciated as well as some helpfull tips ;D

Pokemon: 20

4 Reshiram
3-2-3 Emboar line (2x Inferno Fadango 1x Flare Blitz)
2-2 Ninetales (Roast Reveal)
1-1 Lanturn Prime
2 Cleffa (Eeeeek)

Trainers/Supporters/Stadiums: 25

4 Pokemon Communication
3 Pokemon Collector
3 Energy Retrieval
3 PONT
2 Professor Juniper
2 Junk Arm
2 PlusPower
2 Fisherman
2 Professor Elms Training Method
1 Flower Shop Lady
1 Interviewers Questions

Energy: 15

13 Fire Energy
2 Lightning Energy

Strategy:
Start with a cleffa or reshiram as the active and use eek and trainers/supporters to set up emboar with inferno fantango and nintales roast reveal on the bench. this sould take 3-4 turns to do then use reshiram as the main attacker to deal 120 out each turn by using blue flare and inferno fantango to attach mulitpul energys to reshiram. the fisherman and energy retrieval are there to make sure you have enough energy to 'feed' reshiram. lanturn prime is there for mirror match or water decks

Thoughts?
also my friends were saying it doesnt really need the ninetales- opinions on this would be great :)

After having tested the deck I have come to the conclusion that Typhlosion is imperative to make the deck work. So I would add a 2 1 2 Typhlosion prime line and take out your itw questions, your 1 1 Lanturn and your 2 cleffas.

thanks for your responce gunwing
im going to have to test typlosion my self because at the moment i dont see his appeal as embaor and energy retrieval pretty much do same thing with out the damage and need to waste space for another stage 2 pokemon

I tested Typhlosion Prime in my first build but putting the 10 damage on Reshiram means trouble against other Reshiram and Zekrom since it puts you at 120 HP. After taking them out I find you don't need them, the dekc runs much better without.

I find you don't need the extra Reshiram, I run just a 2-2-2 line of the Ability one and it works just fine, with Revives to get back Reshirams from the discard.

I run 1 Promo Shuckle too, makes the deck much quicker.

I'm still testing heavily but this is my opinion at the moment.

because i will only need 2 pignites because i will only ever use ability emboar once i have 2 abiliity emboar incase one is prized
and 3 tepig to draw into it more often to get going

You should be running 3-3-3, unless you add in the suggested Typlosion Line PLUS Rare Candies. A stage 1 is KEY without Rare Candy in the deck, why reduce the odds by only running two?

thanks for the input :)
i need to test shuckle and im using flower shop lady instead of rivives the only problem is, is that its a suporter so i might drop it for 2 revives or somthing
also do you not need the non-ability emboar so you can do 150, just incase of high hp pokemon or ran of of reshiram?

so far in testing (with proxies) i havent had to use all 3 stage 2s so atm im fine with just 2 stage 1s. i can see your reasoning and im going to be testing rare candy this week end :)

I haven't found I need the non-Ability Emboar yet, PlusPower normally gives me the extra damage I need, if I find I need more I'm planning on testing some Junk Arm to re-use the PlusPower's as they now go straight to the discard when you use them so you can stack them on the same turn.

i went to my locals today and got some valuable testing done
lanturn prime is to slow and will get 1HKO the moment its the oponents turn
ninetales is amazing!
i dont think switch is that needed at all, i only had one time when i wanted to retreat a sleeping cleffa
revive is good at 1 for me
im not fond of juniper much anymore i might drop to 2 or even one
i really need rare candies!! gonna put in 2 as soon as i can get them
plus power instead of lanturn prime for mirror/zekrom. my last match today was against a serperior/reuniclus/zekrom deck i was smashed, i couldnt get any 1HKOs at all so +more plus power
getting energy wasnt a problem, but is there another trainer card that gets you energy from the discard pile or deck to your hand? or is energy retrival the only one?
also DCE looks really good, in last match my oponent opened with zekrom+ DCE to my lone tepig he nearly won on turn 2 because of it (thank god for poke collector xD)
btw are DCE hard to come by? and how much are they worth?

I really don't know why people play DCE in this and Zekrom... >.<
I wouldn't play it, because I see no obvious use for it.
DCE are fairly expensive, but they will be league promos soon and will be easier to get that way.

Also, good job on actually testing your deck and not just relying on what people say here!
That is the best way to find what works/doesn't work.
I also have been testing reshiboar and agree with what your testing found.

I prefer RDL over flair blitz emboar, but that may just be me.
I also recommend rare candy

Heya, can you post your updated deck list? I would love to see it, so I may compare with my own decklist! :)

thanks :)
i was thinking i could use DCE on my first turn to get the fist hit and to attach it to flare blitz emboar so i dont have to discard all 4 fire energy. but after thinking about it theres not much reason to do so.
RDL i have thought about but then id have to run lightning energy but that'll make the deck inconsistant.
and yeah im defo gonna run rare candy about 2 i think :)
