Which deck do you guys think is better in terms of consistency, speed, and viability? Please post why you feel that way.
LOL, Boo Hoo... 4 retreat.
What ever will the poor Reshiboar player do when his defenseless Emboar is dragged out by a reversal...
/sarcasm.
good question .
Typhlosion is much better. It has a much better attack and you don't automatically lose to water decks when you attack when this Pokemon. Many time, just that 1 damage counter helped me knock out a Pokemon with using outrage. The thing is, I could discard cards freely and draw my entire deck while Emboar you have to watch out for stuff and depend on energy retrievals.
Emboar in the active spot = a prize for your opponent and it won´t take long to get it there with Reversal and Catcher.
-Attack
-Retreat
-Play a Switch
My personal experience shows me the opposite. with the use of fisherman and interviewer's question you can power or even retreat your emboar to bring up again reshiram. also with 150 hp emboar isnt easy to OHKO and with its 80 attack isnt shabby. i dont even run switch.
My major complaint against Typhlosion is although it proves resistant to disruption, the bench will often need three bench sitters (2 Typhlosion and 1 Ninetales) to immediately set up a new Reshiram once the previous one goes out. Emboar can have one less with just himself and Ninetales. The others out there will typically be E-19, a Pignite (as part of a contingency plan), and another Reshiram. This however, is my preference for having more potential attackers on the field.
