Hello all pokemon players/readers. This article is about the deck that I ran at states but for some reason, I started with skitty 5 out of 7 games and baltoy for one of the other ones.

I actually had this idea for maybe 4-5 months. *It entails using Rhyperior SV so if you aren't a fan... Well... BECOME ONE!!!

When I saw the Pulse of the Frontier Cards I began making this. I saw rhyperior and I also remebered the lvx for the card too. It has 170 HP! *I said to myself, tank tank tank!!! Enraged Drilling or Raging Drill, does 30+ 10 more for each damage counter on Rhyperior! A possible 190! For only a Fighting and a colorless! Beast! I then looked at rhyperior Lvx again And said !!! Hard Crush!!! 50 x the number of energy in your top 5 cards but you have to discard all 5.

Then I took a look at what could help this... Delcatty! This deck had many changes to it to try and help it but I guess it still needed some help. Well, here is the list.

Pokemon: 20
3 Rhyhorn DP
1 Rhydon DP
1 Rhydon SV
3 Rhyperior SV
1 Rhyperior Lv.X
2 Skitty PL
2 Delcatty PL
2 Baltoy GE
2 Claydol GE
1 Chansey PL
1 Blissey PL
1 Azelf LA

Supporters: 9
3 Roseanne's Research
4 Bebe's Search
2 Palmer's Contribution

Trainers: 13
2 Premier Ball
3 Rare Candy
3 Pokemon Communication
3 Pokedex Handy910is
1 Luxury Ball
1 Bubble Coat

Stadiums: 2
2 Broken Time-Space

Energy: 16
12 Fighting Energy
4 Double Colorless

Card Explanations: I'll go in the order of the list.
Rhyhorn DP:
I prefer this one over the SV one because it has a 1 energy attack. Otherwise, just part of the evolution line.

Rhydon DP:
I put one of these because I thought it would be a good idea to have a pokemon that can switch the defending pokemon.

Rhydon SV:
This Rhydon on the other hand has a 1 energy attack that is okay. Again, these Rhydons are just for the evolution line.

Rhyperior SV:
[gal=48162]Rhyperior SV[/gal]
This is where the real power comes from. Doing so much damage! The first thing you might notice is that Rhyperior alone has 140 HP which is really good. Also, you may notice that it has 4 retreat cost. Yeah, but with its high HP, you should be using raging drill instead of trying to save it. Rhyperior is unfortunately week to water type hence the Bubble Coat to save it from a OHKO from Gyarados. Rhyperior's second attack is also pretty good and if you can use it at the right time, you can mill your opponent and take a prize. This card on its own holds its place.

Rhyperior Lv.X:
[gal=41181]Rhyperior Lv.X[/gal]
Rhyperior Lv.X is the cherry on the top. Now your looking at a 170 HP pokemon that has 3 devastating attacks (in the right situation) against pretty much anything. Hard Crush will probably be the attack that wins games. Delcatty is here for that purpose only. And to discard the energies in the first place is Blissey! TANK!

Skitty PL:
Skitty is a useful card for its heal bell attack and its take down attack is okay. Starting with 5 out of 7 games at states sucks especially since there is only 2 in the deck...

Delcatty PL:
[gal=42237]Delcatty PL[/gal]
This card will help with the Hard Crush as well as keeping you from decking out. If you have both Delcatty on the bench, you can put up to 4 basic energy cards (fighting in this case) from your discard pile onto the top of your deck. Then each Delcatty must have 2 damage counters put onto it.

Baltoy GE
:
Hooray for Baltoy. Just here to evolve into Claydol.

Claydol GE:
Obvious what this card is here for. Just drawing cards consistently because this deck requires heavy usage of many cards in 1 turn.

Chansey PL:
I wasn't sure which Chansey to use but it is just to evolve into Blissey.

Blissey PL:
[gal=42252]Blissey PL[/gal]
Blissey helps TREMENDOUSLY with keeping both Delcattys and Rhyperiors alive. The bonus to this is that it discards energy! Fill your discard pile up with energies from this power and us power circulation from Delcatty and do it again!

Azelf LA:
Azelf is only useful if something that I need at the time is prized. Getting that one card when it is prized sometimes turns the game around in your favor.

Roseanne's Research:
This card is obviously for searching for basics and energy. I only put 3 of these into the deck because there aren't many that basics and you don't need too many energy in your hand.

Bebe's Search:
This card is obviously for searching for any pokemon. Just be cautious of when you use your supporters.

Palmer's Contribution:
I use Palmer's Contribution because of the fact that Rhyperior is a stage 2 and there is a lot of energy involved. Since I can get 5 cards I usually get a Rhyperior Line and something else.

Premier Ball:
This card is very useful if you already have a benched pokemon and your active lv x gets KOed. Just use premier ball and you have the same Lv.X again! You can also use this to search from your deck so if you need to you can use this.

Rare Candy:
Rare candy is pretty much a staple card in every stage 2 deck. It allows the evolving from basic to stage 2 or stage 1. It is reallly useful when you can only search for one pokemon. You can just get the stage 2 and rare candy it. Just watch out for devolution attacks or powers.

Pokemon Communication:
Pokemon communication is basically exactly like the old pokemon trader card. If you have this card and a pokemon that you don't need in your hand, use this and get a pokemon that you do need! Very simple. Helpful in a lot of situations!

Pokedex:
It was pretty sketchy putting these it... But, in the end I did and they worked out okay. Since you can get any one card from the top of your 2 cards of your deck, it can be pretty useful.

Luxury Ball:
Luxury Ball is just a better bebe's search for non-level X cards.

Bubble Coat:
The weakness prevention tool. I put it in here because of the high amount of Gyarados being run at the time. Other than that, you can discard it with Blissey's healing power Nurse Call... That's about it.

Broken Time-Space:
This stadium is also a staple for stage 2 decks. The ability to evolve all stages of all pokemon that you have in your hand is very useful.

Double Colorless Energy:
I use this for Deep Scrap mostly. If needed, I'll use Rear Kick or Blissey's Double Edge. But probably not.

Strategy:
Alrighty... The main strategy for this deck is to overpower your opponent with high HP and high damage attacks. First off, set up Claydol for constant drawing. Then set up Rhyperior with two energies. That shouldn't be too hard but you should try to get this really early in the game. Then you set up Delcatty and also get the Lv.X of Rhyperior if needed. Then set up Blissey. Then you've got the full set up. If you can't KO the defending pokemon with any of Rhyperior SV attacks, then use Blissey's Nurse Call and discard a fighting energy and then use Power Circulation with Delcatty and put those discarded energies onto the top of your deck. Then you Hard Crush for however many energies you put onto your deck and however many else you discard. 50 x the number of energy discarded. In this way you can OHKO any... Let me restate that... ANY pokemon card that is legal. (including unlimited). You can do a possible 250 damage for "no energy". If Rhyperior has damage counters piled up on it, use Raging Drill which will also KO most pokemon. If you can, use Deep Scrap to KO the defending pokemon because then your opponent discards the top 3 cards of his/her deck.

Matchups:
Cursegar: As long as you can get set up before they do, then they will have a very difficult time getting the KO on Rhyperior. Just watch out for Gengar Lv.X's power Level Down as they can make you waste your search card that you used to get it. If they set up before you, then try to sacrifice as little as possible until you get a Rhyperior out with 2 energies attached. Then use Raging Drill to do as much damage as possible.
Rhyperior>Cursegar

Gyarados: This matchup is probably the hardest only because of the weakness but you can also KO them easily since this deck is built for power. Just swarm with Rhyperior's (which you might find is quite easy to do with this build, I used it against my friend a lot and he is like WHAT?!?! SWARM OF RHYPERIORS!!!???) and hope to draw your Bubble Coat which will keep your Rhyperior Lv.X alive for at least a turn.
Gyarados>Rhyperior

PLOX: Since this deck relies on a lot of pokepowers, you might have some trouble. The easiest thing is to outspeed them and get an active Rhyperior that is ready to use Raging Drill. Blocking powers usually screws up most decks but this matchup should be easy if you have Rhyperior. Just watch out though because if they run Gallade, then you will get OHKOed and then you need another Rhyperior.
Rhyperior is only a little>PLOX

Luxchomp: Any SP matchup should be easy for this deck because Rhyperior has such high HP. But in this matchup, you really need to be careful about using powers that damage yourself because they can Bright Look and kill or just Snipe with Honchcrow G or Garchomp C.
Luxchomp>Rhyperior

Jumpluff: Siince Jumpluff has such a low HP, it should be easy to kill right? Well, it also has resistance to :fighting:- 20... well, it should be easy to get around. The only thing about this deck is that it is really fast. Trying to get set up fast is your only hope and once again it's going to be Rhyperior's Raging Drill. Since they can't OHKO you if you have Rhyperior Lv.X out, you can Raging Drill and then heal a little with Blissey or just keep Raging Drill. The swarm of this deck is also a bit of a problem but it's okay since Rhyperior also can swarm!
Rhyperior~Jumpluff (sort of equal)

Varitations:
If water pokemon doesn't seem like a problem to you in this deck than you can take out Bubble Coat and 3 pokedex for 4 Poke Drawer +. This will give the deck a little bit more search power and you can get anything you need if you have 2 poke drawers in your hand.

If you feel like using hard crush is best for this deck, then take out Blissey for a Blissey Prime. Blissey Prime can heal all damage from all pokemon which means you have a full 170 HP and full HP on Delcatty! And with this variation, you should take out all 4 double colorless energy and put in Super Scoop Ups for all for spots. or you can put 4 more Fighting Energies.

You can also use 2 of any Rhydon instead of 1 of each. It doesn't matter all that much so no more strategy for this part.

Another variation could be that you could take out 3 Pokedex for 3 Felicity's Drawing and take out 4 Double Colorless for 4 Fighting and change the Blissey into Blissey Prime. That might be the best way to go if you feel that it needs to be better.

Well, there isn't much else to change so...
Thanks to my best friend and also thanks to the people who traded to me the Rhyperiors . I figured nobody likes them so I got a few good deals.

THANKS TO ALL WHO READ THIS!

Haha! It's back! Lets hope it does better at battleroads....
Anyway, it's a solid list, the only thing I might suggest is Life Herb (or SSU) to keep Rhyperiors alive for longer. Blissey can only heal 20 per turn. Life Herb>SSU IMO.

Also maybe a Memory Berry for DP Rhydon? Switching could help against 'tomb lock, etc. considering you have no WP.

This is why this deck is difficult to build.

For more energies you would use blissey prime and SSU to heal a lot and do as much damage with hard crush every turn and heal with blissey prime.

8 Energy would be way too little for this deck.

Stark Mountain is a ridiculous and largely pointless suggestion. The Energy set is too bulky, I would replace two fighting energy with two expert belt to begin with. Blissey Prime is blindingly obvious and I really think that it would benefit this deck because it heals and discards energy which you can cycle straight back to the top of the deck with Delcatty. I would reduce Bebe's to three to add an extra Chansey and remove a Pokedex Handy for Blissey Prime. On the rotation next season I would replace Claydol for 2 Uxie and 1 Uxie Lv.X and add in some Underground Expedition. Underground Expedition could fetch Uxie from the bottom of the deck after it has Psychic restored, along with a fighting energy that Delcatty put on top of the deck and Uxie Lv. Xs Tradeoff sent to the bottom whilst putting the other fighting energy into your hand. This would reduce the need for Pokedex Handy even more because Uxie Lv. Xs Tradeoff has the same effect every turn.
I also recommend at least two Engineers Adjustments to help discard an energy and then draw 4 cards. Hope this helped, this deck is officially owned by me now, Peace xx
Pyrocitor' Til next time'

i agree that you need the e belts in ther ebut u do not need the poke healers also just a preference of mine i prefer drawers over Pokedexs

Problem

I tried this deck and the problem is most good players will just snipe around your Rhyperior espically with garchop and luxray being played. I would look at putting either bench shield or use Manetric ..:lol:

Interviewer's Question lets you look at the top 8 cards of your deck and add all energies to your hand, so it might be a decent idea for this deck.

Dialga PL#5 and SSU's, Everytime you put him on your bench you place 3 discarded energies on top of your deck. A combo of Solrock and Lunatune allows you to manipulate the top 3 cards of your deck but that's getting way off track.

The Delcatty combo's fine for the deck, it's just a matter of being able to get them in the discard (or hand for that matter, especially next format).
