What do you think the best cards from RR are? Best decks? Best combos?
Express your opinion on the next pokemon tcg expantion.

Flygon so far has proven to be one of the strongest decks, Flygon with Hippo has proven to be worse than the items of which I dispose of in our dumpster at work.

SP toolbox
New SP deck focuses
Flygon
Eeveelutions
Hippowdon
Arcanine

These seem to be what is the most promising coming from RR.

I know I'm looking forward to Gallade 4 and its Level X. A managable spread deck sounds great to me. I can't wait to see whether I can get it to work efficiently against the more popular archetypes.

eeveelutions are going to be great. i am just going to live sniping and spreading EVERYONE. i am just afraid of gengar, will he be played with palkiazam? o ya, palkiazam seems like it is going to be good, and it's another deck i am afraid of. me is scareded, sort of...

I can see the following decks slipping into the metagame:

Palkiazam
Spread w/ Raichu GL/Gallade 4
Speed Luxray

After some playtesting, I am starting to doubt the Flygon deck. I'm sure a ton will emerge, but I'm not sure it will be as good as it is hyped up to be.

Palkia/Alakazam will only work if no-one plays Flygon or Luxray GL . . . and that isn't going to happen. Palkiazam will be the AmphyTric/TurnCruel of RR.

Flygon is easily the best of what I have seen so far.

Actually, I think what RR has done is made old decks viable with supporters and energy.

SP Energy gives more flexibility to SP decks, Volkner's is good in general, Upper Energy makes GG viable again (and other decks), and the new supporters will diversify current SP decks.

Mostly, we will probably see decks that are already big with new tech lines/new supporter and energy lines when the meta evens out.

I think that PLOX might make a comeback.
Flygon will be huge
PlayDoh(PalkiaZam) wont be that great due to the Flygon decks that'll probably be everywhere.
Gallade 4 'll be top of Tier 2, same for Luxray.

This set is so full of playables! I've never seen people say anything about these cards, which are all just insanely good.
-Leafeon. This guy puts a lot of energy into play fast and really hurts spread. Very easy to play in a G deck too.
-Nidoqueen. Not only is it an awesome body, but she will almost always land 100 for a P and an Upper.
-Shiftry. No Hurricane Punch, Fainting Spell, Remove Lost, Super Scoop Up, AND take 30 every time you try to attack? OUCH.
-Floatzel GL/Walrein. Kill the Walrein? Put it back to my hand and play it w/ 4 Water. Power Spray? Energy Cyclone for 80+, then Scoop the Walrein to do it again later. Or give him a Memory Berry, he can grab 2 Water from the deck for free, or auto sleep.
-Machamp GL. With Bronzong G, Energy Gain and Flint's Spirit in the format, his bottom attack is ready in 1 turn. It's an attack that requires an answer fast or else it eats up your whole board.
-Turtwig GL. Buck's, Plus, and Cherrim make this thing a healing & damage dealing beast. Shaymin Land makes him 130, and can Seed Flare to power him up.
-Jirachi. Kinda iffy for me, but going 2nd Jirachi + Rosy is amazing.
-Electrode G. 20 everywhere AND activate Upper? Someone's pushing AbomaTric...
-E4 Supporters. These makes me wonder how long it will take before Download engines start running things.
-TMG. Combined with Alakazam and the spread elements in this set, this card is an absolute boss.

I believe that rizing rivals may be perfect for our metagame since here are so many new deck possibilities that all revolve around skill and timing. I think we will finally start to see donk decks receding due to the epic comback of plox and the gallade 4 ruining all of the machamp players.

Flygon will be BDIF.
FlyDon will be an epic failure.

Gyarados G + Alakazam 4 X + Golem 4 looks like a boatload of fun to me. If you say Flygon kills it, fine, let it focus on Alakazam then I'll Dwindling Wave you into a watery grave.
Thats the mistake a lot of Flygon players seem to make. Focus on support X's while getting your Flygons who hog 3 energy killed.
Beedrill will be back for another bout too with that new one. Looks pretty evil to me.
Shiftry is my favorite card ever. Now to make it work.

Flygons who hog 3 energy

Not only does Trapinch have a built-in energy-manipulating Poke-Power, Upper Energy will be coming out in the new set as well. Potentially, a Trapinch without any Energy can be charged up into a Flygon doing its second attack in the same turn this way, not to mention the possibility of cards like Energy Pickup. To me, this doesn't really constitute as "hogging" energy, especially when the attack is as good as it is.

I think PalkiaZam does look like a lot of fun though! I'm super-excited about Gallade Lv.X - it's already a favorite of mine.

I think anyone who loved Palkia G is also going to love Gallade G for the same reason. ;)
