OK, Donphan is a fast BEAST. I'm running it along with Palkia X for Restructure, and Weavile and Moonlight so I can retreat the restructured pokemon to Donphan, and KO the opponent.

So far in testing it's gotten set up pretty quickly. T3-T4ish everything is good to go. (2 Claydol, 1 Palkia X, 1 Weavile, 1 Moonlight, 1/2 Donphan with energy and Expert Belt).

Do you guys think this is a good idea? And do you think my numbers are right?

well first off, you have a bunch of 2-2's, making it kind of inconsistent.

1 Night maintenance, 1 palmers contribution. Palmers gets more and it helps.
why run a 2-2 weavile & 4 moonlight when you can run 4 switch with warp point/pokemon reversal?????????
Wheres the bts? youre going to throw away a T1 belted donphan???

I run Weavile and Moonlight because once I get it set up, I don't need to continue using resources to get switch/warp/reversal.

BTS replaces Moonlight, which is obviously necessary, and the odds of me getting BTS, a fighting energy, Phanpy, Donphan, AND expert belt T1 are low anyway.

2 Premier ball is for extra consistency, because Palkia X is SO crucial to the deck.

Yes I do have a lot of 2-2s.

I'll take out an NM for Palmer's.

Call becomes useless once I'm set up. If I can find some room for a fourth one, maybe.

If you are not going to play it in your deck you can forget it, else BTS is really needed
- without these two cards you´re deck looks really bad....
 
Whoa, geez, easy on the exclamation points there buddy.

Nidoqueen takes up too much space on the bench, which I'm already REALLY limited on, and I'd have to run rare candy as well. I'm taking the risk of letting my bench damage build up at the cost of running the palkia/weavile tech. And that's staying in, because without it, I'm just another archetyper playing Donphan.
 
I question the usefulness of 4 Expert Belt. And 4 Quick Ball when u already have 4 PokeComm and 4 Bebe's.

I'm concerned that u aren't running any Switch. NM + Palmers seems a little much, I'd rather have 2 Rescue and Palmer.

The problem I see your list running into a lot is not being able to draw. You have 2-2 Claydol for draw, that's it. It's very easy to compromise Claydol this format.

If u wanted to fix the numbers a little bit, I would suggest going to 1-1 of Weavile and Palkia and adding Azelf. They can't attack in your deck so you really don't need them that often. U run so much search that u will be able to find them majority of the time. If it gets prized big deal, there's Azelf, plus u should be focused on taking early prizes with Donphan.
3 Moonlight is better than 4 because u will have multiples dead in your hand often after 1 sticks.
 
The only comment I have on the "Night maintenance vs Palmer's" discussion is with DCE I suspect we're going to be seeing a resurgence of Gardovir (It never really dropped off the list of played decks, but with DCE back in format we'll likely see more of it).

Palmer's is Late game Gardovir bait, 5 pklmn/energy back to the deck every turn without wasting their supporter...that's a pretty big hindrance to any opponent, particularly if you're not playing a fast deck (which Donphan is so maybe not so much a problem here).

Personally, I tend to lean toward 2x NM and 1x Palmer's unless I'm playing heavy LvX Stage 2 Lines, in which case I reverse that. I like a deck with both NM and Palmer's simply due to the fact that you have options: If you don't have HUGE need of the energies (you have 6 and only really need 1) you can drop NM and not worry about giving FGD or Gardalade free recovery.

Palkias a tech; forget the premier ball. Night Maintenance is perfect cause it grabs a 1-1 Donphan and an energy. Prime Blissy is the biggest must: switch around Donphans and then on the last drop Blissy. Then you can retrieve the energys with Night Maintenance. Expert Belt kills you against Gengar 1) it gets stored up in your hand and 2) and fainting spell gains 2 prizes from this. But Memory Berry can do way more then 60 without hurting your bench for just 1 energy, just a thought. Call Energy is completely useless with Donphan if it can't provide any energy for his attacks, and is also useless if you don't get it in your starting hand, maybe replace with Great Ball. Also, maybe Relicanth would help here. Good luck!
