I have my sources... never underestimate "the Powers of the PokeMama" (especially when trying to make her Prerelease events a lot of fun for everyone). :biggrin:

Good news guys, Wizard World Chicago is on and kicking and I should have some extra stuff from it to give away at the prerelease!

Almost time! The day after tomorrow! The products arrived, everything looks great, all's ready to go... now just need to get baking all those cookies! Looking forward to seeing our Pokemon friends, both old and new! Won't be long now! PM me if you need directions!
 
Had a great time there! We ended up with 29 total between the main event and the Theme Deck Challenge. Everyone had a lot of fun, LOVED the new set, and we even had (once again) the media there! Channel 23 WIFR Rockford came and did a great piece that was on the 10pm news. I'll have a link to it later once they have it up on the website. :clap:

Maybe the kid didn't want the swampert and wanted to make a walrein deck?

And he cried because everyone told him he made a bad trade when he agreed to the trade. This is why trades should be done privatetly so nobody is upset.

First off, don't spout rumors you don't know for a fact to be true... from what I heard when talking to the boy, Adam traded him things that the boy wanted at the time, and it was more than just a Walrein EX, he got 3 EXs in the deal and some other cards. At the time the boy did the trade he was quite happy with it. Later when I found out he was unhappy, (which was only because people told him that) after Adam had left, I talked to the boy and his mom and she was not at all concerned about it. In fact they gave me their email address to be sure to let them know when we have the next prerelease. Dev gave the little guy some extra stuff too. From what I've heard in the past, you yourself aren't really one to be accusing someone of this sort of thing. So don't blow it out of proportion please.

Thanks for the compliments on the cookies! They were pretty good I have to say! Every single one was gone!

The kid you are talking about didnt get just a walrein, it ended up being several ex's. The kid had been trying to trade with me for several hours and kept deciding he was going to keep his swampert (which was fine with me) but just as I was about to leave insisted that I trade with him again. He and his brother picked out a few ex's and foils for the swampert and seemed happy about it at the time. Ive done worse trades though, way back when in 4th grade (when the game first started) I traded my hitmonchan foil for this kids pikachu common. At the time it made me happy, did I learn to regret it later? Probably but I got what I wanted at the time because I didnt have a pikachu card yet.

He was telling people that he only got the Walrein EX........My bad...........
 
Sorry I missed this earlier. I'm not quite sure what you mean... If you recieved your packs for 3rd place, then those were the packs you got for the Side event. Everyone got at least 1 pack for entering, maybe that's what you were thinking of? But those who got 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th got more than just 1 pack. Is that what you meant?
