I think it is single elimination. I am not very good with electronics. I misplayed A LOT. I'm probably the only one who gets confused by redshark: )

I've tried to contact my opponent, but no response thus far. Will I still be penalized if we don't battle and it is only one party's fault?

^I've been asking the same questions since I haven't seen my opponent. If you make an effort and they don't respond you take the win

I tried contacting my guy last night and still haven't heard from him, and I'm in Goergia for the marathon now so I'm gonna just drop. No Hamachi on this computer.

You guys have until TOMORROW (Monday) night at 10 p.m. EST

So, there's still 24 hours guys!

Ugh.... Im having a problem with the connection. Say that im hosting and my opponent joins. What IP number do I put next to the Host IP, under preference? Do I have to change the port number, or does that stay the same?

Also, is there a way where I can shuffle my deck, before I automatically get 7 because because I feel like all I get are like 4 energies and 3 of the same pokemon =/

Lol, everyone either win 2 match in a row or lost 2 in a row

Hopefully I'll catch my opponent later, but he's a Brit, and thus is 6 hours ahead.

We'll probably meet up to play sometime in the afternoon though most likely (Central). If for whatever reason we can't, then I'll concede.

My opponent sent me a PM and i answered him. I live in Europe and he has Central Time Zone i believe.

I can play all day if he comes online until tonight.

Round 1: Empoleok vs. Chanman

Game 1: Chanman wins
Games 2: Chanman wins

it was empoleok's first time against palkia lock =/

In the event of no response though?
No response yet. Hope he gets on tomorrow. :/

If you're sending PMs and your opponent has not even responded. You win.
I just need you to send me AND you opponent the PMs.
This way I can see that you have tried to make contact.

Simply saying "I've got no answer from my opponent" is not good enough.

You need to send a PM and allow you opponent to get back to you.

Again, if your opponent is ignoring you, he/she will lose and we'll move on to round 2

Round 2 will be MUCH smoother because the ones that are on and play will be matched up against each other.

This round has many people who've never once played online. The GOOD news is that we're growing our online-play player base with this tournement because so many good things are happening:

1. Apprentice players are learning redhsark
2. RedShark players are learning apprentice.
3. NEW online players are getting familiar with the online program interfaces and are tackling the learning curve.

This is the first online tourney on the gym that is major. So, I've got some organizational screw-ups to endure as I figure out how to host a better-organized event and we've all got to experience the first one so we can have a better next one

Thanks to everyone for being tolerant of the rocky start as people get over the shock of learning Hamachi, RedShark, Apprentice and online match-ups.

You'd have to let us know if you're using Apprentice or RedShark.
We can't possibly answer unless you tell us that much.

I'm going to have to work on posting "HOW TO" threads for both of these :/

Hopefully I'll catch my opponent later, but he's a Brit, and thus is 6 hours ahead.

I hope that will not be the case.
