Router Trouble

A few minutes ago, after discovering my wireless router was only hooked up to one thing, I switched the in cable to the computer, unpluged the router, and took it downstairs (my Wii has an awful connection). I pluged it in (power and internet), and then checked with the Wii. The Wii knew it was there, but could not connect. I tried lookin up the error code, but the computer, although it knew it was connected, said it wasn't. I then put everything back to normal, but the Wii has sprouted about a dozen error codes.

I believe the router was reset by the unplugging (its default settings just happen to be incompatible).
I've forgoten now redface, but how does one edit the settings? I used to have a link, but lost it a while back when the hard drive went.
