If my opponent used any of the combos in the starting post, I'd be happy about the free win. btw, old TMs are discarded after attacking, so they're of no use for Porygon-Z. And Gengar... yea indeed a great victim for Cursed Stone and Cessation Crystal.

Yea, absolutely not. =)
Deafen + Cessation Crystal + Cursed Stone isn't broken in any way. It just makes decks with powers (except for fire stuff / Machamp that can OHKO their Dialgas) unplayable.
 
what is this thread full of duel monsters world champs? come on guys, im not asking for much other than you for to use your heads and think.
 
ewwww . . . deafen lock with Cessation AND Cursed Stone is just nasty! And under deafen lock u can't even play Windstorm, yikes!
 
Gabriel: Really? No trainers, stadiums, powers, or bodies? Not saying that there isn't some counter out there, but really? How does that not sound impressive?

Original or not you can't deny the power of GG with 4 DRE/4 Call/4 Scramble/ and all of the sickeningly good draw and support from previous formats. i can play 4 swoop, 1 pachi, 4 foresight ralts, 4 call, 4 rose, 4 celio, 2 bebe, and be sickeningly consistent. 1 steven, 1 cynthia, 1 copycat to copy all the castaway/cyrus. i can guarantee set up every single time! i can play 4 mesprit and just swoop them into ralts and baltoys! i can lock EVERY SINGLE TURN OF THE GAME- period, easily.

OMG FANBOY DECK IS STILL LEGIT BECAUSE NO POWERS IS THE BEST ATTACK IN THE GAME

There are a lot of really strong archetypes that will receive huge power boosts. I expect to see a lot of decks that did well to have even MORE options now. Lots of subpar/inconsistent/suffering tier 2/3 decks may also see huge improvements. I expect to see a lot of archetypes, and why not? They were good before- and there are better cards now.

It sounds unimpressive in mirror situations or versus fire or metal or metal resistant pokemon- and there are a lot of the things I just listed!

It seems like this format will be pretty awesome.

Well, you can keep trolling your own thread, or you can go with the flow. Who cares as long as the format is fun to play in. And all those so-called broken combos you listed, trust me there's stuff that is far more disgusting. But do I care? No. Keep crying baby.

Hehe, cry some more (mikey shouldn't have gotten me started, I'm going to be on a tf2 related spree for the next week). But, seriously, I'm not the one trying to stifle everyone else's creativity on this thread and acting like I've already figured everything out. People can build what they want for this tournament, the entire point is to have ideas that are as broken as a one handed clock, instead of whining you should just accept it and move on.

gimmick post was gimmick. lol Notice I never said fanboy decks weren't legit, I just said... they were fanboy decks.

I agree with your 3rd paragraph more than anything, there are some lower-tier decks that really get thrust into power with some of the options that are opened up to them (TRR trainers much)

TRR is so broken. We could have DP-on+TRR and I'd be happy =P

It will be sad to see people limit themselves instead of trying to new combos though. But that's the same with any format.
