Which one in your opinion would be the best play for worlds I have no idea which one to play.

PICK ONE! =D

I would avoid Palkia since it suffers from Luxray hate. Anything else really comes down to your style and preference.

I'd also avoid Sablelock because isn't it really flippy?

Personally, find the one that has the best matchups.

Luxchomp shouldn't be as big as it was at nats, it will be the deck that everyone techs against and odds are that you will be expected to play it, since it's "bdif" and all. If you do play this, PLAY A MEWTWO COUNTER. That's very important.

Sablelock will pry have a decent showing but then again, it could be countered and if you play against it, HONCHKROW SV WILL BE IN IT! Keep that in mind.

Palkia's an ok idea but if Luxchomp ends up being big, you could be in trouble.

I honestly prefer dialgachomp as his matchups are the best, but play the deck you feel the most comfortable with.

I think Luxchomp w/ Ambipom G & Promocroak is the safest pick since you will get to play A LOT against Luxchomp. I really think Mewtwo counter isn't necessary since you will see more mirrors than Mewtwos

1. Wait until you get to Worlds.

2. Spend a couple of days watching people run around saying 'OMG OMG WHAT'S THE SECRET DECK? DO YOU KNOW WHAT THE SECRET DECK IS? IS [INSERT PLAYER NAME] RUNNING THE SECRET DECK? SHOULD I PLAY THE SECRET DECK OMG OMG!111SHIFTONE11!'

3. Then decide.

All decks have decent matchups against what you might face. They have 50-50 matchups across the board. Play what you play best, and are most comfortable with. Maybe try a rougue out that has decent matchups. It's definitely possible. Just test a lot, and you should be fine. None of those are clearly better than the others to me.

I like how somebody attending at worlds, asks for deck ideas at 'Gym.. :p
On topic.. Play whatever suits you, and what you feel comfortable with. Playing a deck, where you have strategies against all the different archetype decks, is much better, than changing decks, the night before.

LuxChomp would be the saftest option.

Sablelock is flippy in some cases, and requires more skill to play than other decks.

Palkia/Garchomp (Pearl Chomp Lock) has the ability to win pretty much every game, and it also has a slight edge against LuxChomp, but you have to be a really good player and make some smart decisions in order to beat LuxChomp. It's not exactly the kind of deck you can pick up and automatically beat LuxChomp.

DialgaChomp is good in its own ways, but from what I understand it can have a tough time against LuxChomp in some cases.

palkia lock is really a vague deck, i mean it can tech anything in it. the deck works well if you play it right, and makes some games too easy to play against. luxchomp is your only bad matchup. sablock is to your advantage if you go first with mes lock or if they wiff on initiative. when they do you can punish them hard from there on out.

since this is worlds, you can still play downer material azelf. this makes your sp matchup even better. also hurts sableye cause they have to pay 1 for impersonate which is lulzy. its how i beat gyarados decks that run non searchable energy.

I don't understand why this question comes up so much on these boards, and others. In the Pokemon TCG there's one way to figure out what you should play, what beats what, and what is a good choice:

Play.

Play each deck against each other and the other top decks and observe how they do, which you're comfortable with and how you think each one will do against the Worlds metagame. Gather information about whats being played and what's not being played, and make a choice with all of the above factors included.

I like LuxChomp the best, but DialgaChomp can be as good as Luxchomp with good build with some luck...but it is same with every deck. There's nothing you can really do with bad hand sometims

Sablelock IMO is the best deck to play, but is also the hardest deck to run. Luxchomp is almost as good and a good deal easier (butt still hard). Dialgachomp is a good deck, but not as good as those two. I would not recommend Palkia Lock, as I played it at Nat's and failed 5 and 4.

Sablelock is simply too good for the format.

Shutting down your opponent has always been a winning strategy, and Sablelock has literally no bad matchups, with the except ion of Machamp under certain conditions and with certain builds. Even Champ is easy as pie if you deny them the cards they need to get setup, which really isn't especially difficult when you Cyrus away their hand, Spray them, Judge them, and whatnot.

Sablelock can also donk easily, which is huge in this format. Anything except SPs, and even many SP builds, are extremely vulnerable to Sableye, Ambipom, Garchomp C, etc. etc.. It's fast, it's rare to get a bad start despite running few "power cards," that is, cards that give the deck speed. You'd think finesse cards such as Power Spray would make the deck slow and clunky, but in fact the deck runs extremely smoothly. It takes the most skill to play out of any true archetype right now, but if you can do it right, it's worth it.

Probably the last stop on my tirade about Sablelock's brokenness is a general note on the deck's strategy. What makes Sablelock so good is that it doesn't rely on simply outsmacking the opponent, such as a deck like Flygon, Machamp, Donphan, Kingdra, etc. etc.. Instead, Sablelock denies your opponent their setup in the earlygame, generally allowing for several prizes to be taken with Sableye or another thing that hits your opponent's active. If and when your opponent does finally manage to get a big hitter setup, you can generally either make a big hit with Honchkrow to take it down in one or two hits, or, and this is a more common situation, you can snipe around their Uxies/Azelfs, etc. with Garchomp C for your remaining prizes.

That, my friend, is why Sabelock is your play.
